The gods had placed him there so he and the emperor might meet....

This for Oblivion

For Morrowind, the "gods" just placed my character on the ship.

In Oblivion my character had a bit to much to drink and just walked right in the prison took the jailors key and locked the door (that is why he was in a cell that was off limits) the next moring when he tried to tell them no one believed him so he was just stuck there. Maybe the emperor set it all up from the begining and spiked my characters drink in the Tiber Septim Hotel? Afterall it was his 21st birthday and all that i dreamt this bullshi*t that the emperor was trying to pull off wasnt convincing at all!

EDIT: BTW i didn't read Knight of The Thorn's post i didn't copy, its just a coincidence i said a similar thing :)

i violated law 32 of the imperial code stating

"Thou who breaks the international bond of book-writing shall be thrown in prison"

"so i cant write books?"
"Nope."
"so i cant write shopping lists?"
"Nope."
"so i cant write on the walls with wood elf blood?"
"Stop right there, criminal scum!"

In Morrowind I was a secret agent of the emperor. The arriving by prison ship was just a deep cover.

In Oblivion I was drugged and shoved into a random prison cell, perhaps as a plot by the Mythic Dawn.

My RP character in Morrowind did not :) He was a pirate but the ship sunk so i started in the middle of the ocean.
Oblivion on the other hand, i was put in jail for stealing a priceless wine from a count, "Three-Toes will steal wine and count not know he did it. Me return to Black Swamp and be rich." but got caught by that pesky cook in the process.

Morrowind: A undercover agent of the empire and was a cover up

Oblivion: Offended a count and sent me to jail. It was a accident.

I ran through the Imperial City, Naked (lol)

Naw, I think most people have come up with a back story for their charecters, explaining the trouble they caused in order to be placed in that situation (My story links up with the Mod, Gates to Asgaard) but I was looking at the posts and thinking, Aren't you on a slave ship in Morrowind? Perhaps that was a reason your there. Then, for Oblivion, I mean It's not like your going to Wander the Top floors of White-Gold Tower and bumped into the Emperor that way, right?
