how do you exactly fight a giant?

Well I guess mellee battle would be unfair against one.
Reasonably when a giant hit you with a mellee attack,he should send you flying 5 or 10 meters away.

But I guess there is one way to surely fight giants easily:
The Eye of Fear power of the Kahjits!!! :celebration:

spookyfx made a mod for oblivion that gave big creatures like minotaurs a special attack that sent you flying if you were hit by them and took ALOT of your health away. i hope they implement something similar to that. there should not be a back and forth at all. one hit will take most of your health away and send you flying and a second hit from them will kill you. i want fights with giants to be as real as possible. you should feel like a little 5 year old struggling with dad who is dragging you upstairs for bedtime......in other words once you get caught its over.

what i dont want to see is going up to a giant and standing toe to toe with them and exchanging blows.........that is just utterly stupid.

The giant that we've seen looks friendly to me, so maybe we won't have to kill him at all! Dunno why I get that vibe from him... he looks some old wise thing that you can get help and advice from. Maybe you can befriend him with a quest or something.

In the fight against the dragon, the player flew when the dragon hit him from the sky so that is very possible. I would really like if they gave us dodging to work with at the beginning of the game

sounds like hippie talk to me, if he's old wise thing than he will be easier to hack at.. hopefully
and you would be wrong not to do so, they put in something that looks challenging and dont wont you to challenge it, then it there fault when he dies.. i wanted to go mano-a-mano against mehrunes in OB

haha thats exactly why i put it in thee, the oblivion way of things was always nice and simple.. run in and spam attack.. dash in and out attacking them without them hitting you.. float like a butterfly ans sting like a bee.. just with a lot less finnese than muhammad ali

didn't say i liked it, just said it was simple.. too simple, i like games with a bit of challenge, look for where the enemy has a flaw then use it to beat them.. not just run around in shiny glass armor killing a whole of army of daedra like littleboy

really hope you can slash him in the knee and he kind of looses his balance

use that "force balance push" voice.. to sweep her (put "her" automaticaly i guess it would be harder to find out gender than it would be to fight it) legs out then cut for the face

The "force balance push" would work for that but I think they did that in the game and the dragon didn't look all that effected by it but I guess the dragon is more massive than the giant( though we don't know big the giant is)

The special attack that you would use for the giant should be awesome, I can't wait to see it :toughninja:

this can be good, not all orders must be good or bad, someones could be just "against-something"

Why assume they're slow? Even if they are, you have to take into account the length of their legs. At a normal walk like what we saw in the trailer is going to eat up a lot of ground. Giant strides, depending on their size, could be two or three, even four, of our running steps. That would be pretty quick.

A Giant running? We might not be able to catch him or her to talk or do more dastardly deeds.

yeah true but they have to add some kind of flaw to make them more balanced with the game and being kind of sluggish is the usually choice

This is a awesome question, what would be the flaw of the giant?
