How do you feel about free installed pay to use DLC?

As the title says, how do you feel about this increasingly becoming more common tactic in the gaming world? I used to find it an utter scam, but as time has gone on, I've come to feel that maybe it's not so bad after all. It, in my opinion, allows you to play with a friend who does/doesn't have it even if you don't/do have it. I'm skeptical on a game by game basis, but I still feel that there's more pros to this system than cons for the most part, what about you, Community Discussion? Do you approve? Disapprove? Do you even care?

Hated it when it first started and ruined Halo 3. So many of my friends couldn't play ranked matches with me anymore.

I chose no opinion. Doesn't matter to me in the slightest.

very against this.

don't know what types of games exactly you're about, but for the likes of skyrim,

if you don't buy it and remove it, it still will have f*d up your save game.

I think you missed my meaning. The DLC I'm referring to is DLC that's installed via a patch, but you need to pay to unlock the files to play it, so you can play with a friend who 'owns' the DLC while you do not.

Is this more in line with stuff like the GTA packs?

If so I'm for it. Everyone can get it, and it all can be achieved in game. Destiny's DLC truly alienates those who did not purchase it, and is why I'm getting rid of it.

Destiny is no different then most shooters. If you don't buy the map packs you can't play on those maps.

When The Daily AND Weekly challenge is DLC, it alienates the player base. I don't care what IGN has told you, that is the truth.

There wasn't a separate Weekly/Nightfall for non DLC owners? You had no Weekly this week? That does svck.

There is no seperate playlist for Non-DLC owners. Non-DLC owners apperently don't matter to Bungie or Activision. Too bad that GameStop treats it's customers like Criminals when they try to trade a game in, or I would have taken it back already, so now I have a really nice Coaster for my Water.
