So the question is, what is going on with my loot table?

So my lvl 70+ character on surival mode is shooting up places with legendary enemies in the "red zones" people say have such good loot. And yet they drop items for lvl 5 characters LOL

I swear the amount of garbage from legendary enemies is too damn high. I'm talking about legendary gear that gives maybe 6 armor/resistance here.. stuff I'd get when I started the game.

Are other people also getting crazy underleveled armor about 95% of the time or is my game broken?

Yeah, basically 95% of the legendary drops are junk. It's not just you. For every 2 shot combat rifle or instigating hunting rifle, I've gotten 10 poisoning rolling pins and crippling walking canes.

Weapons I can understand. If you kill a legendary cockroach , that you get a rolling pin fine. But jesus christ how can you get the stat+ items on heavy leather/combat/metal/raider armor? The fuq is this.

That last one sounds like a lawsuit just waiting to be brought to court.

I found my Explosive Combat Shotgun on a legendary bloodbug, and I found my poisoning rolling pin on a legendary mythic deathclaw. That was enough to tell me that there's no correlation between the level or difficult of an enemy and the quality of the legendary drop. It's a completely random system. It spawns a random weapon and attaches a random legendary modification to it. There's no leveling or anything like that involved, short of certain weapons not spawning in general below a certain level.

I play on very hard, 12 in "luck". Seems I get the legendary pistols.
