How do you guys think Dragons turned out?

If you do think that they are too easy please explain why and what you think should be done with them.

The hard/lengthy part is usually getting the dragon to come look at you.
After that, the fight is short and unremarkable.

I play on master and have only 3 deaths to dragons... And they were glitched finishing moves through thick wide pillars... It's just too easy to stay out of their reach or in cover to me, taking pop shots with ranged when they stop.

I think they turned out really good. I play on Adept and I've had some that were easy, medium and difficult. Lately they've taken to landing on my head and I can't see anything. I try to get out from underneath and just hope I'm heading for the tail instead of the mouth! They could be a little more difficult and I think it would be ok but not ridiculously more difficult.

It all depends how you play. My Orc has no ranged capability beyond Fire Atronachs. For him, a high-level dragon is kind of a challenge, though he walks straight through most other enemies. My thief archer has little difficulty, my pure mage with zero armor class is in the middle of the two.

But getting away from combat difficulty, I think they are really well done. They have a good "physicality" if you know what I mean. I love to see them "rowing" through the air or doing a "bombing run". One of the best game monsters I have come across, though Bioshock still holds the crown.

Ancient dragons on master difficulty can outright kill me if I do not heal from it, and I have 450hp. Mages own me hardcoe so thank god I got spellbreaker + 50% resist block perk to defense against those.

Ok, besides the fighting part, Dragons are PERFECT. I mean they look exactly like I imagine dragons! I love, love, love the dev who designed the dragons!

I play on Expert, as a level 53 Khajiit Thief. If an Ancient Dragon gets me in an enclosed space, I'm so much skid marks on the wall. But if I can take one on in an open space, they're easy. Shadowmere/NPC's make this even easier.

Dragons are easy on any difficulty.. partially because of the imbalances and scaleing, however I think a good solution would be, to buff the dragons, perhaps they should have shouts that heal, sheild, etc.. also they need to be a lot more aggressive, ESPECIALLY on the ground.. they should be FAST always closing in if you bring em down to the ground, bites should be one hit kills. perhaps while flying around they should have the ability to pick you up, and you press a button combination to be released, more tail attacks, maybe they could use their wings to blow you back instead of their thum.. theres so many things they could of done to make a dragon an actual boss battle, instead of on a scale with the rest of the wildlife, i have more issues with bears than dragons.

Um difficulty not so much, I think the way they fight on the ground needs to be handeled better

Over all? NAME ONE GAME WITH DRAGONS THAT DO THEM AS WELL AS SKYRIM + IS OPEN WORLD?

Lol these guys are so [censored] awesome, most games make them bosses or non interactive menaces. but in Skyrim? oh god I applaud fervently at how well they are done when they work, I remember hauling ass down a mountain with one of the bastages chasing me it was so Glorious as it dived along with me as I jumped off a cliff.

You have not lived until you've been ninjaied by a Dragon. I remember just walking around outside whiterun at night, and I didn't notice a sleeping Dragon, I basically walked right past and it look up, Took off and Blasted me :ahhh:.

They need more powers at their disposal, they shouldn't suffer from Cotton puff attacks ala THEM swinging at you and you not staggering or being thrown back, I intend to address alot of my grips with them but over all yes they are the sixiests beasts in open world gaming.

I don't use those fancy armor and weapons such as Daedric/Ebony/Dragon.. i'm level 40 right now and i'm still using : Iron Armor (Fine) and Steel Sword (Superior) .. So the Dragons aren't easy.

I think they were implemented well, but poorly scripted. They are very easy to fight, even with lower level gear, as they are too pattern based. I've only ever had one Dragon fight me on the on ground with any type of aggression, other than that the rest were all pattern based.

Agree 100%! I just LOVE the dragons. And yes, they should have more moves and stagger the player etc. Plus, why aren't they using shouts? Isn't that the old dragon language? I wouldn't mind if they beefed up dragons a bit. After all, they are DRAGONS, they should be damn hard to kill LOL :)

I didn't get how a grounded dragon could be so much weaker than a flying one, but then you realize, when they are on the ground, they use their wings for balance, not fighting. Makes sense as the wing membranes are the weakest parts of their body. However, they should be able to rear up and fan you with the wings, like a whirlwind effect, pushing you back. Also, they are not collision'd properly. You can walk into their body at some points, but at others, you can't get close enough to hit them with a dagger. But that's game mechanics.

The dragons are beautiful, very artistically well-done!!! I don't care if I see a hundred maudlin dragon fights, I enjoy every single one just looking at those magnificent creatures! Well-done, Beth!

Dragons are not even remotely a challenge, but this of course depends on your spec and tactic you use. I kill dragons without ever even getting touched. The AI for the most part is pathetic and as ranged I can exploit crappy pathing of mobs and you throw Shadow Warrior on top of it and it is laughable.

They are impressive, I was quite impressed as was expecting a heavily scripted, looping animations typical for Bethesda. However, they almost feel alive. Not difficult to kill, yes, but that will be corrected soon either by developers or modders.

I love them but they need to be much harder, on all difficulty levels above "easy". They are just jokes. Bears can beat them. That shouldn't be.

you'd think that the wings are for balance but in terms of TES, they just assist in Flying, yes I said assist because their flying is mostly Magick. and I'd agree with you had I not have been Swatted several times by their wings as a Side attack. Dragons have a FULL 360 degrees of attack from their body, Tail, Wings and mouth, and a ridiculous angle of attack for its voice attacks. so they are quite capable, and their fire attacks hurt for those not op as hell but its underwhelming how they fight over all.

They need to NOT BE SCALED, and WHY are you able to kill off all the named Dragons :( I prefer they run and then and some point down the line you come across the Named Dragons, or those are the ones that Hunt you.

In fact thats what I was planning to mod, but I'm just Mr.Nummit WHY haven't they come up with something like that? D:

i think they're really cool. look good atheisticlly, and the sounds they make, make me feel like i just crapped my pants.

difficulty isnt to bad as i dont use full on deadric, i tend to just use what evers on hand. but i do agree they need to beef up the damage a bit.

an improvement on dragons i'd like to see is them using more shouts, according to the game guide they have unrelenting force but never has one used it me asides alduin.

other than damage output and lack of different shouts they can use, very good. draugr scorges on the other hand.................... make me very angry, i die alot against these guys.

Yep godkfabedude, Draugr Deathlords force me to restart a lot (especially the first one I ran into at level 11). They have killed me a dozen times at least.

I've yet to die to a dragon. Sad.
