Ok, didn′t not want to sound harsh, if i did, sorry for that.
So no, don′t like it.

You can most certainly progress your skills in Fallout 4. Want to be the best in sneak? Make sure you put points in sneak whenever you can so that by the time you *are* level 50, you will be the best sneak. My level 50+ character has no sneak at all because she prioritized other skills and still has other skills she wants instead of sneak, so by the time she even thinks about being capable of being more sneaky, she'll need to gain a few more levels. It's true that you can't have 100 sneak at level 4, but I think that's a good thing, especially considering all the complaints I've read from people here about how sneak is overpowered and makes combat easy and boring.
As for settlements being useless for an RPG, I highly disagree. RPGs are probably some of the *best* games to include such features because they help your character better establish herself or himself into a given role. They might not be so useful for someone who wants to roleplay a homeless vagabond and who ignores trying to make the Commonwealth a better and safer place for regular folks to live, but they do enhance roleplay for many other character concepts. It's yet one more aspect of the game that creates more immersion for many of us. Yes, some of the features could be improved, and I hope it happens in patches and/or DLC, but the basic concept of settlements is a sound one.
Back on topic...I love the game. Sure, there are things that annoy me, things that I want changed and things I hate. I don't care for the voiced player, hate the simplified 4way dialogue, lack of skill/perk checks, Preston's insistence on giving me quests I do not want. Why can't that useless Sturges build him a notice board to put them on?
I hate one of the Brotherhood quests and refuse to do it. The pre-war beginning needs to be fleshed out as I feel zero connection to Shaun due to the briefness of the entire intro. Okay, it goes beyond "zero connection" since I actively despise the kid...
But despite the flaws, I love this game. I've lost myself in a beautiful world for 175 hours so far and look forward to playing it more every day. I love reading terminals and listening to holotapes to learn backstories and history of events that happened prior to the war, love finding teddy bear and skeleton scenes, exploring rooftops and gazing at the views. I've had great laughs in this game and I've shed tears as well. I cannot wait to get my hands on the Geck and build my own npcs with their own Commonwealth stories and make myself a real player home. I'm totally psyched as to what DLC will bring and the quests, companions and stories modders will make.
The Commonwealth is home to me almost as much as the Capital Wasteland is.
Wow, to me that says a lot. Just too bad you don′t connect well with your own kid..
And by level 50 the average gamer will finish with most of the game/quest if not earlier. So much for character progression.
If we didn't care what someone approved or disapproved we wouldn't be posting here correct? Also I thought (I could have been wrong) that Hellbishop would like some constructive criticism on his review since I thought he spent so much time on it, and how it could be better. Did I attack him? No. Do I agree with everything he says? No. I said it was well written and could be better. More on this later.
I hope it helps, really liked what you wrote just a bit too one sided. If not going to say what is wrong with the game, maybe at the beginning you should have said this is just a positive review since a lot of the negatives have been already mentioned.
I never said I don't like Fallout 4, or that is a bad game. I think it's a great game. Since you asked, I would say right now it's closer to a 6 because I can't play it much without getting sick so I really can't give a score to the game since I didn't play 200 hours yet. From what I see and could guess the game is an 8. That would be too generous maybe a 7 but I am going off what people say but not from experience. From my TES and Fallout 3 and New Vegas experience I will give this game an 8 for now.
I would say the game is a 7 and that is a gues. I haven't played it much about 40 hours since I get sick playing the game. From what I see and I read, the game can be closer to an 8 but until I experience what people are saying they don't like, I will guess a 7. I like all The Elder Scroll Games better and Fallout 3 and New Vegas. To be fair though, those games are fleshed out, so going on vanillia vs vanillia, I would say Arena, Daggerfall and Morrowind are better than Fallout 4.
I explained why what is wrong with giving a game a 10 or a high score when it doesn't deserve it. Remember a game called Sid Miers Civilization V? That game got a 9.0 review from many "professional reviewers and game sites". There is no way in heck that game could have gotten a score that was so bland, so riddled with bugs and very boring game play and DON'T MENTION THE BUGS. Then with the same pen they give a SCATHING review for Fallout New Vegas for it's bugs and give it a lower score.
A game that gets 10/10 HAS TO BE PERFECT. Otherwise why have review scores if they mean nothing? A score of 9.6 would say the game is almost perfect but has some flaws.
Hmmm.... I remember when Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, hell all the pre-quels came out they got scores of 4.5 out of 5 stars or all perfect scores. You telling me scores don't matter now.
As for Witcher games, I have read a lot of negative comments about that game.
Also we are talking about me giving criticism about someone giving a review. Where did I say we can't talk about our favourite game? Hellbishop said "here is my review" so I took it as a review. If it's a review you need to talk about the good things and the bad things other wise it is not a review but an opinion.
Also people rely on reviews when they buy a game. What about a person reads Hellbishops review, buys the game because it says Fallout 4 is so awesome but then sees a lot of bad things that Fallout 4 has? Is that fair? No.
I am curious, why do you have to prove me wrong? I haven't said Fallout 4 svcks, or is a bad game or anything like that? So why is my opinion have to be proven wrong? If anyone should be upset it is Hellbishop and I think he appreciates what I said.
So please why do you have to be correct and I need to be wrong?
And people wonder why a lot of people see Fallout fan in a negative lite because when someone has a difference of opinion they need to be proven wrong.
a rank system that has only 10 points is extremely vague
it's not like you can use something like 9,6 or 9,5 on metacritics
9/10 is already 'only' 90%... I feel like there are enough games that are better than that
giving a 10/10 doesn't mean that a game doesn't have any flaws ^^ it means that the game is close to perfect and might as well be a 97%
I think there is nothing wrong with giving games a 10/10
people that give it a 10, just enjoy it very much and don't feel that the negatives have any weight on their enjoyement with the game
the 10 rank system is just isn't really a good and precise one, and overall numbering a game is always subjective ^^
another example is the Steam Rating there is only a 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down'
but it doesn't mean that a game, that gets a 'thumbs up' is perfect, does it?
If someone decides to buy the game because some *single* random internet person posted a positive opinion in a forum already flooded with plenty of negativity and criticism (somehow managing to skip over *all* of those posts), then any blame could hardly be on the person who posted his or her honest opinion. People don't post their opinions to be fair. They post because the OP asked "How do you like Fallout 4?" Just because you don't like the manner in which someone answered the question doesn't mean it's wrong or needs to be "improved" in some dishonest way to merit your approval.
Damn never thought on the Bethesda forums having an opinion is wrong and you have to be proven wrong.
I tried to help someone out. It helped that person out and was grateful for it. Now people need to prove me wrong for my OPINION?
I just find it funny when people have to prove me wrong, they haven't mentioned anything at all about how great Fallout 4 is and talk about other things that are not related to Fallout 4. Want a debate? Start a new thread, let me know and I will debate you there. I loving having a great debate.
As this thread is about What do you like about Fallout 4 instead of Davor having a different opinion on what is a review, I will stop commenting so things will go back on topic instead of people trying to prove me wrong.
Better than Fallout 3 but a step back from NV imo. It's a good game but I have some serious problem with it.
Folks, please leave out the personal attacks and little barbs at others. Everyone has a right to express their opinion here and it's ok to have an opinion and express it without having to defend their own opinion. I like strawberry ice cream and do not have to defend that against someone else who does not like it. No need to go into strawberries being sweet or bitter, red being a horrible color and thus blackberries are better, no need to defend it at all. And I surly don't need it to be suggested I'm immature for that opinion.
So stop it or see the thread closed.

Non moderator post, I have finally started playing the game. So far I like it very much. Having some problem adjusting to the voiced protagonist but that's a small complaint.
Well if you would like to know my opinion about the game, I've really been enjoying it and so far have two characters that I love to play...one is BoS and the other is intended for the Institute. It is a game that I will have fun playing for years to come just like other Bethesda-developed RPGs that never get deleted off of my hard drives and consoles. As for negatives, I can't really list any of any consequence because I'd just be comparing it to Morrowind, which no other game can seem to match in all the things that matter to me.
Yes, one very cool thing in FO3 was to hack terminals to set turrets to hit everybody, very fun and wort doing even if it would be faster to just kill them.
Closest in FO4 is activating protectrons.
Plenty alternative routes however at many locations, many where you need good lock picking skill to eiter get an shortcut or an good sniping position.
Fallout 3 also had level requirements, http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_perks%C2%A0

My main critic of FO4 is the idiot dialogue system yes I have patched so I get full text of that I will say. Still always and only 4 fixed options is an very strong constrain.
Weak an linear dialogue is probably mostly an effect of this add lite background information for quests, only the charisma checks, quest lockout if having multiple quests related to NPC.
A post referring to real life politics has gone away. Not allowed for discussion here.
Instead of policing and closing threads, why don't you and beth fix some bugs?
It's done. You should understand these are volunteers, not Bethesda employees.
Well as 59 year old player who played original D&D and has run Gurps and had a continuous HERO campaign since the 80s , the roleplaying opportunities for my style of Roleplay surpass previous games so maybe accept people can have differing opinions and not be inferior. Honestly, for every option you fell narrowed things , some feels they broadened them.
To my surprise, the voiced protagonist doesn't really bother me too much. When I first heard about it I was pretty heavily prejudiced against the idea, but have come to accept it as part of the game. I am not, however, altogether crazy about the choice for the actor who voiced him. Can't say anything about the female voice actress, since I've not played as one yet.
Mods on forums don't work for "company x" forum they moderate.
And even with the forums they have very limited powers and are not told everything by Bethesda, even if it involves the forums.
I already excused myself if i was too harsh.
I just wanted my point to be seen as my point and not start a discussion about that - i already had enough discussions about that in different forums. That′s something the topic starter also did not want, he just wants short statements and not hundrets of reviews where each of it gets again discussed. Too much chaos you know?
