How do you like to kill Fargoth?

Post » Wed Dec 16, 2009 10:23 am

I stumbled upon an old thread somewhere on the Internet regarding this issue. How do you guys like to destroy Fargoth, or, any unfavorite npcs of your choice. :twirl:

I've never killed Fargoth and I frankly don't understand why anyone else would want to, either.

I roleplay, so what happens in a game depends on my character, not me. Sometimes one of my characters dislikes an NPC, resulting in homicide in a few cases. But the next character I play might love that very same NPC and want to protect that NPC with his life. It all depends on the character.

He's a Bosmer. Nuff said!

Nay, I don't kill him either. I don't kill anybody unless they attack me, and sometimes I regret even that. The gameworld becomes empty fast enough...

This.
I never understood the juvenile hate for Fargoth and/or Bosmer. (except the Adoring Fan in Oblivion.... but that's different)

I almost always play Stealth/Assassin characters, and yet I never kill unless attacked first, or it's part of a quest.

Yeah, never killed him. I actually feel bad for him. I give him his ring - just to take it into my possession again, along with his other stuff! He's also having troubles with authority. Poor guy. :(

I don't usually kill any NPCs just for the lulz, except, say, with my namesake Telvanni Archmagister. I, too, usually prefer stealth-based characters and kill whoever I get paid of killing, or otherwise roleplay some kills. Usually everyone who's meant to survive survives with me, though. :)

well, you can just not do the quest for the unfriendly bully nord up in arrille's.
or you could return what you took from fargoth, leaving it silently in his house for him to find
(roleplay option for bad conscience; or look at it this way: he then knows that his hiding place isn't safe anymore, so you did him a favor actually)

never thought about killing him either.
and i only kill people "deliberately" when i carry a morag tong writ ;) not that anyone would ever care about a poor guy in seyda neen enough to place a writ...
and, well. he rises your reputation with arrille. reason enough to like him?!

And that′s because Adoring is a kissa** with a stupid grin on his face --->

However I′ve never killed him either anyway

Gaenor i have killed he died a painful death. Fargoth i will never kill ever because he passes the savings on to you. Gaenor should of been the bosmer hate of morrwind instead of fargoth.

Fargoth? I have nothing against Fargoth. Id rather kill a dunmer, 2 imperials, a redguad, an imperial, a breton, and two imperials. In that order. All of them.

I'll be the 14th poster to say that I don't kill Fargoth. He's annoying though, I'll grant that.

Either the forum goers have matured, or they're completely new people. On the old forums, the "Why would I want to kill Fargoth?" people were a minority.
I'm glad to see things have changed. It scared me that so many young people were willing to commit murder (even in a video game) just because of something someone said.

OP: I've never killed Fargoth, as he doesn't try to kill me either.

Fargoth's a sweetie. Why would I want to kill the one guy in Morrowind who is always guaranteed to be happy when he sees me, no matter who I'm playing?

This.

Gaenor is the reason I dislike Bosmer. Fargoth, I like because he is my initial bankroll everytime I start a new character.

I don't really understand what people have against Fargoth. Honestly, I like Galbedir a lot less, but even then I'm not about to kill her... royally screwing her over is fine.

Pfft, hating Fargoth was a trend back then (well, still is it seems)
Most people hated him, just because everyone did.

People here haven't matured at all, its just that there are now too many new clueless people from Fallout and Skyrim forums that doesn't follow the trend.
Annoying trend i must add.

Haven't seen many fishy sticks given for some time either...- another dying trend.

It was mainly that annoying male Bosmer voice.

I don't think I've ever killed Fargoth. Well, apart from once when I used the CS to create a spell that could wipe out all over Seyda Neen (well, anyone in an exterior cell) in one blast.

I've killed him a few times, but if it's any consolation it was during my regular dai-katana rampages. Ah, the good ol' days.

I don't.

I don't like having less wandering NPC's in my world. The more, the better.

Besides, he gives me a completely free disposition boost at the store. That helps tons.
