How do you like the "new" armor sets?

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 7:47 pm

Strahlim is what glass armor should have looked like from the beginning!

The ideal weapon to carry around whn wearing Strahlim armor is Chillrend (preferably, the lvl46+ version that deals as much base damage as a daedric war axe!) which looks like it could have been also made in Strahlim ore

Deathbrand, is a set of Light Stalhirm armor, with Unique enchantments, that stack for every piece of gear worn. The quest can be gotten by the book Deathbrand, at level 36. It starts out as a misc quest.

I love the bonemold, nordic and the chitin armor, especially the bonemold. but stalhrim.. meh, only the mace is cool. the armor didn't appeal to me at all.

They're not bad. I think the only armor I wore from DB was Deathbrand. Other than that I love my Dragonscale.

The the Maces and hammers in Stalhirm are ridiculous, a chunk of Stalhirm on a staff... It looks like somebody took a rock, and chiseled it and drew with a blue pastel on it.

I like them all, very unique. I used Stalhrim and Nordic Carved a lot until i reached 90 smithing for daedric armor just the other day.

I honestly don't like any of the Stalhrim weapons. None of them look sharp enough to cut. I mostly use them as decorations.

Stalhlrim would look better if it didn't look so crude in terms of the weaponry. The arrows are about the only pleasing things to look at.

I was a pure archer with fully enchanted dragonscale and I just HAD ti change my play style to two handed warrior because the Nordic Carved armor and weapons are just too freaking awesome.

They look nice and well made, but I prefer Ebony over all others. Main reason being is the boots from most all other armors look like somone took a sheet of leather and wrapped it around their foot. I don't like how it looks, and IMO Ebony looks the most fitting as a heavy duty armor.

I don't like them, to be honest. Nordic carved is alright, but the rest…eh no.

I had high hopes for the Morag Tong armour, but that shoulder spike ruins it.

All helmets are bad.

Best is the ordinary Dunmer outfit, but it is not armour and only available enchanted.

Why is Bethesda always so stingy with outfits we can buy? I don't understand it.

I'm not too crazy about the new armors. I think the chitin armor from the morrowind armor mod looks 1000x better than the one given to in the game.

Still like my good ol' guild master assassin armor (with stormcloak guantlets, the one with the spikes), Linwe's armor, and Daedric.

I find myself content with the weapons and armor added by this DLC. I never use anything for too long so it's nice to have that extra bit of variety.

While it isn't armor, I have to say, Miraak's robes look amazing on an Altmer character.

I'm not too fond of how they look. The Skaal outfit, though, I love it.

It's a sort of primitive glass weapon.

I like wearing the Stalhrim (Deathbrand) and occasionally Carved Nordic, one of my characters is trying out Ahzidal's waterwalking boots, and the lowest level one has taken a liking to a bonemold set, since it was easy to get. All my thieves were high level and not interested in the Blackguard set, none wear robes so Miraak's or the cultists robes were not that appealing none are really into fur so the Skaal set were never used and I never liked the chitin or whatever those Morag Tong were wearing.

All the armour but Miraak's and the House Telvanni robes ended up on a mannequin some where, Miraak's ended up in a display case and those Telvanni ones vanished on me once and I have been suspicious of them ever since, so keep them in storage. I was disappointed the chitin and bonemold shields were set to display on their sides instead of straight when you put them on a shield plaque. They would have looked nice on display.

I like them. Adds more roleplay value for Dunmer, for example. And more choice in general.

That's unfortunate; I generally take the extra precaution of saving and then duplicating (attempting to duplicate, anyway) what would otherwise be considered unique apparel. I like to collect and be doubly sure that my collection remains intact.
