Oh I had it saved, no worries, just was not willing to try it again.

i think te daedric is still te best stuff, way more protection then the dragonplate/scale, the Stahlrim stuuf looks really nice, but the daedric is still the stuff for me

Love the look of the Nordic armour, it's all I've been wearing lately. Stalhrim is nice too.

Oh, I did something like that. Miraak's full outfit including his mask are on a mannequin in my homestead so I can tell my kids "Look, that's the loser papa beat up some time ago." ;D

So what's up with the sideways shields? That's just dumb...

It would have been nice to see some rogue/assassin type gear but whatevs.

Dragonborn overall most certainly caters to mages/warriors, it's a shame rogue like characters kind of got pushed aside but i do like the look of the armour we got though so it's cool.

I don't think it caters to mages outside of the masks and a ring or two. The robes all have a pretty worthless enchantment on them.

If you watch closely the Redoran guards, they carry the shield sideways. It's the way the "bone" connecting the shield to the hand in the animation system was placed. Since the plaque hooks the shield the same an animated character would do, it's also displayed sideways.

Deathbrand Stahlrim for me, better than my Dragonscale. I don't wear Nordic carved but it looks good on some of my followers. Bonemold and Chitin are too exotic for my taste. Ahzidal's armor i would wear just do i could use the boots. /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />. Stahlrim not only looks kick but but also looks warm as heck due to the fur in the joints. My favorite of all the armor types.

Are any of the new armour sets - particularly the Nordic Carved armour - available in Skyrim, or only on Solstheim?

Nordic armor as well as weapons can be found on bandits. bandit chiefs usually wear a full set of nordic carved. but the rest are only found on Solstheim.

Been using Nordic Carved for my character and chitin for the companions. This, until I did a 180 degrees turn and started using steelplate with banded iron shields (whenever applicable) on both. I even stopped using stalhrim weapons and went back to nord hero.

I'm guessing some kind of nostalgia hit me /tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Amazing sets. I always wear stahlrim light (I actualy like the helmet it seems veyr warrior like). Chtin is a nice choice when not wanting to look shiny. Nordic weapons made me cry in happiness. I would wear bonemold but It never seems to work well with my character choices.

Nordic is probably the best vanilla set I've seen so far.

I like it on my characters. Male or female. Its fitting for the area.

The Chitin looks pretty good until you get the helmet then it just looks like the aliens from War of the Worlds movie...
Bonemold looks ok but the helmet looks like you are wearing a yellow Radroach butt.

Lol...so true. I like the the new armors just because they addd a more "exotic" feel than the standard ones. They allow for more diversity.

I'm not complaining about the additions in my opinion I just don't like the aesthetics. I like the different variations, how they have a light and heavy armor version. I wish they'd have a Nordic Carved Light armor but its understandable that they don't due to the Carving requiring a good amount of metal.

Makes sense. Besides Nordic carved, the other additions are rather alien in design.

Yes they are. Though to be honest they look more like a desert-y area. Especially the bonemold with its color and the scarf/cowl/fabric thingy that hangs from the front.

Nordic looks best for cold climate. Bonemold looks like desert. The heavy chitin looks like a shell so it looks more like a coastal thing, the light variant looks like a desert material. The Stahlrim looks like you'd wear that to regulate body heat since you are basically wearing an AC unit for armor in the form of magic ice.
