First locker by the front door goes for regular weapons, the 2nd locker near the kitchen for regular armor, refrigerator for food drink drugs and meds, the desk in the bedroom is full of misc items like quest junk and crafting items, then the locker by the bed for unique weapons and armor, unused skill books (capped all skills) and modded clothes and armor. I dont usually get any themes but I buy all the improvements. For decoration I spread mutilated skulls, teddy bears (the giant ones are great), books, ashtrays and cigarettes, harmonicas etc. :P

Haven't bothered with themes since the first playthrough.

Clear out all the junk (sell it to Moira), and then:
- crafting materials in the locker by the front door
- weapons in the other locker
- clothes/armor in the filing cabinet
- water and food in the fridge
- quest items, collectables, and specials (like the receipts for house upgrades) in the desk
- cola in the soda machine

Once in awhile I'll display a unique weapon on one of the shelves or the desk.

well.... i've only ever actually organized my house on my second, totally evil, character. In the Tenpenny tower sweet, i have any two handed unique weapons that will fit, as well as an example of every type of mine and grenade in the game, including a nuka grenade on the shelves. he's a small guns expert, so weapons like Vengeance and Eugene and Miss Launcher become decor. there's a chinese assault rifle on the bed, and a deathclaw hand, as well as a mutilated corpse on the operating table. (yes, i collected all the parts from gore bags and put them there.) i have no theme for that house, as i just decorate it how i want, but has all the amenities that one can buy for their house. honestly, i dont see the point of the nuka cola machine if the cola doesnt respawn... the cabinet next to the bed holds everything but misc items, which are kept in the footlocker. thats about as organized as he gets.

every other character just throws everything into the lockers just inside the door in the Megaton house. no decorations, nothing. Just come in, offload things i want to keep, then back off into the wastes.

the purpose of the nuka cola machine is to turn nuka cola into ice cold nuka cola which has twice the healing power of warm nuka cola. so in a sense it does respawn.

You can also store anything you want in the machine just select ''grab a ice cold nuka cola'' option then put whatever you want in it, I do that option just to store my nuka cola for later use in making grenades with the quantum chemist perk.

pretty much same as everyone except i have a bunch of prewar money in the nuka cola machine as if it was in use somewhere busy once and a lot of people put there money in, but then before the delivery guy can go to put in more nuka colas and take out the money, the bombs fell and the delivery guy never got there.

also i keep all the teddy bears on the bed, i have a whole bunch, maybe like 50? idk they cover the whole bed and then there are 2 mid sized teddy bears and one time i went on a quest to find the largest teddy bear in the wasteland in the red racer factory.

side note: no im not crazy lol

I keep all the schematic junk by the locker at the door, the locker across from that I use to store other junk/weapons/armor, and junk Items that can be sold for caps such as holtags, teddy bears for the pitt, pre-war books. The Fridge is full of booze and meats, the upstairs desk is stashed with drugs and books, the filing cabinet by my bed is used to store clothing. The spare room is used to stash reward items and rare clothing. The downstairs shelves are used to stash junk I think that looks good, quest reward items, and unique guns I don't use. I stash all my bent and normal ten cans all over the floor along with whiskey bottles to give it that perfect vibe. I've also added a more container mod but I'm not going to get into that.

Door locker: weapons and armor/clothing

Far locker: alien epoxy, craft items, recurring quest items (scrap metal, blood packs, pre-war books, teddy bears, cameras, ect.), misc. items that will eventually be sold

Fridge: water and all food items except booze and nuka

Nuka cola machine: booze, 30 bottles of ice-cold nuka, regular nuka

Desk: ammo and explosives

file cabinet: meds, stealth boys, nuka quantum, passcards and IDs.
unique weapons that I'm not using and pristine weapons from OA are displayed on shelves, the top of the desk and the book case, or leaning against the wall or other objects.

My Lincoln collection goes on top of the book case by the stairs, along with my copy of the Wasteland Survival Guide and various hats

Sometimes I make a stack of cigarette cartons to serve as a end table for the chair between the bobble-head display case and the far locker...I display skill books there.

my brain piece goes on top of the file cabinet

In my 360 game I own the Tenpenny Tower suite, with the Vault theme. The locker next to the bed (metal one) I use for clothing, the wooden box next to the bed contains all my weapons. Then I have my Nuka Cola machine with, ofcourse, Nuka Cola's & alcoholic drinks + water. The locker next to the Bobblehead Stand holds food.

The safe under the table next to the balcony door contais all Misc items and last but not least, the wooden table-thingy next to the surgery table holds all my skill books! Also have a corner with Teddy Bears all over it and two of those horses from Zeta set up somewhere + a chunk of my brain!

In my PC game I used the Underground Vault (next to Rivet City) and have all stuff sorted in their designated boxes! (Safe next to the bed holds bottle caps & [censored]loads of pre-war money. The table next to the bed holds cartons & packs of cigarettes!)

What underground vault next to Rivet City?
