How do you organize your Megaton house?

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 2:47 am

Shall I start?

I keep all my weapons and armor on the first locker to the left. In the second locker I keep all my Misc. items. In the fridge I keep all left over aids. In the desk I keep misc. small weightless desk things like pencils, red/blue pass cards, pre-war money, metro tickets. And in the file cabinet I keep all non-combatant clothes like a pre-war park stroller outfit and all pairs of glasses.

Is it just me, or is collecting pre-war money mean you had hope in humanity restoring itself?

In my 360 game I own the Tenpenny Tower suite, with the Vault theme. The locker next to the bed (metal one) I use for clothing, the wooden box next to the bed contains all my weapons. Then I have my Nuka Cola machine with, ofcourse, Nuka Cola's & alcoholic drinks + water. The locker next to the Bobblehead Stand holds food.

The safe under the table next to the balcony door contais all Misc items and last but not least, the wooden table-thingy next to the surgery table holds all my skill books! Also have a corner with Teddy Bears all over it and two of those horses from Zeta set up somewhere + a chunk of my brain!

In my PC game I used the Underground Vault (next to Rivet City) and have all stuff sorted in their designated boxes! (Safe next to the bed holds bottle caps & [censored]loads of pre-war money. The table next to the bed holds cartons & packs of cigarettes!)

My Megaton house is a love den :celebration: I decided to do it up this time round. Its very pretty with the twinkley lights and such. I keep guns and ammo in the locker by the door. Random stuff in the opposite locker ie- belts and toy cars, books etc. The fridge has food/ drink stuffs. Upstairs the filing cabinet has apparel, and the desk draw holds all my drugs  I'm so organised! must be a female thing. One werd thing is I can't bring myself to put blood packs in the fridge, sense tells you store blood in a cool place but it comes under medical, so yes I have a desk full of blood ^_^ . Oh one more thing I have in my house is a headless/ legless Clover, I murdered her and her body is just at the bottom of the stairs.

So im organised and also have the love macine theme, err wait, does that make me a girl!?

I use the megaton house overhaul which adds some extra rooms and safes. Mostly i organise everything in different boxes and places and i like to create a display of every type of mines and grenades.
Best thing is, the overhaul includes a kitchen with empty shelves...i filled her up with vodka, whiskey, scotch and beer and a load of shotglasses, had good fun doing that :)

Locker to the left of my front door - all the miscellaneous crap I've picked up like cups, ruined books, clipboards, etc.
Locker in the corner next to the kitchen - all my spare guns.
Fridge - all aid items (food, Nuka Colas, bloodpacks and such).
Desk - all components for custom weapons.
Filing cabinet - all apparel items.

Haven't gotten a theme yet (I want to get more caps first).

Either Wastelander or Love theme. I put everything into the locker next to my bed, apart from Nuka Colas which go in the vending machine.

I always stuff everything in that locker by the door. It's like one of those closets where if you open it wrong you get buried. However I do like to use the shelves and desk to display unique items.

I own the Megaton house. In the first locker near the workbench I keep all items to make things. Next to all my bobbleheads in the Second Locker is where I keep all ammo, guns and armor/clothes. I keep all drugs and food in the fridge.

Upstairs I keep Cartons/Packs of Cigarettes in the desk. In the File Cabinet I keep Blood Packs, Sugar Bombs, Card Keys, Pre-War Books, Pre-War Money, Plasma and Laser Rifles/Pistols.

I keep all Nuka Cola in my Nuka Cola machine.

Once again I NEED MORE STORAGE! I'd appreciate it if someone could let me know which themes give you more or the most additional storage boxes/lockers/containers/safes....I know there're mods that add lots of stuff but I dont use em.....
in reality of course, all you really need is one locker or box since unlike in Morrowind you can store an unlimited amount of stuff in there, however, I like to seperate my stuff depending on what it is.....I use the lockers against the far wall for weapons....the lockers when you come in are for weapons build materials....the fridge is for any consumable food/drink....the desk upstairs is for various doodads picked up throughout the Wastes like Metro tickets, Prewar money etc...the file cabinet is for any of my nostaligic childhood or quest items like my original Vault suit, The Ghoul mask etc....really could use a container for meds.....another for ammo.....and most importantly one downstairs for crap that I'm going to sell but cant right away......this stuff especially just ends up being dropped on the floor and then DM pisses on it....(still working on getting him housebroken)

Holy crap dude...how could you NOT have excess caps and ammo??? I'm only about a third of the way through everything and I've accumulated over 120k in caps and I have so much freakin ammo (I do tend to conserve my shots....usually one shot/one kill) in sneak mode that I just end up displaying it on my shelving.....

well.... i've only ever actually organized my house on my second, totally evil, character. In the Tenpenny tower sweet, i have any two handed unique weapons that will fit, as well as an example of every type of mine and grenade in the game, including a nuka grenade on the shelves. he's a small guns expert, so weapons like Vengeance and Eugene and Miss Launcher become decor. there's a chinese assault rifle on the bed, and a deathclaw hand, as well as a mutilated corpse on the operating table. (yes, i collected all the parts from gore bags and put them there.) i have no theme for that house, as i just decorate it how i want, but has all the amenities that one can buy for their house. honestly, i dont see the point of the nuka cola machine if the cola doesnt respawn... the cabinet next to the bed holds everything but misc items, which are kept in the footlocker. thats about as organized as he gets.

every other character just throws everything into the lockers just inside the door in the Megaton house. no decorations, nothing. Just come in, offload things i want to keep, then back off into the wastes.

well last time I had the megaton house I kept my crafting stuff for nuka grenades and bottlecap mines in the locker next to the work bench along with a few misc stuff like prewar books.

The other locker had my weapons I wasnt carrying on me aswell as ammo and a few sets of armour. the fridge held my purified water (I collect that crap sue me :) ).

upstairs in the desk was one of each skill book I collected just for the heck of it that I was never gonna use but wanted to have one of each anyway.

The drawers next to the bed had nothing important, Nuka cola machine had my nuka cola and quantum.

The megaton themes dont add more storage but in Tennpenny tower if you buy the vault theme you get a extra locker right between your nuka cola machine and bobble head stand :).

Tenpenny's out for me....I'm a high karma character and there was no way I was gonna blow up The Meg.....but in anycase are you sure about there being no additional storage with any of the themes?? ( I guess I could check all of them out but I'm lazy...lol) I remember reading somewhere that some of the themes DID add some additional storage....

I own the Rivet City Weatherly Hotel Suite, I put my weapons, stealth boys, and alien epoxy tubes in the footlocker. I put my clothes and armor in the wardrobe, I put all my chems and nuka-cola in the desk. I also put my Misc. items in the filing cabinet. I like to put my medical stuff on the table and my mini-armory and ammo stockpile next to said table. I put trophies on my desk (i.e. T51-b power helmet, Buttercup toy.) I also use teddy bears as guards/security blankets.

Theme - Pre war theme/ Love machine theme
Storage - I keep everything in my fridge. Except nuka-cola, which I keep in my nuka- cola machine
The empty room next to your bedroom (you know the one) - On one character, Shrine for butch (he died) and others I put a load of whiskey in there :)

I display my unique weapons on the shelf, all my armor in the locker across from you when you enter, aid things in the refrigerator, and oversize and undersize items just all over the place.

Organize? i'm barely ever there. But I usually keep miscellaneous items by the workbench, food in the fridge and skillbooks in the desk.

I have the same setup on every character: My armor goes in the locker next to the door, and my weapons go into the other locker. I keep food that I like in real life in the fridge (Salisbury steak, Instamash, noodles, mirelurk cakes, and nuka cola before I get the machine), clothes in the filing cabinet in the bedroom, and random junk in the desk. I decorate the house with a few cool knick-knacks I find, but that's my general storage situation.

Its been a long time but I tested both houses out with a evil and good character (tennpenny house is my evil characters place). But from what I remember there was no additional containers of any kind with the megaton upgrades sure theres a few shelves but no lockers or anything along those lines.

The vault theme in Tennpenny adds one extra locker thats the only one :(.
