No I am not including pacifism as an option.
No I am not including pacifism as an option.
I usually play as a Sniper with a pistol for close range. I'm still not sure how I'm going to play on Fallout 4, I might play as a medium ranged rifleman.
I have loved PA and energy weapons character builds since I started playing so ill probably role with that, for two playthroughs before switching it up.
Ill probably run a sneak and sniper playthrough but its kinda a generic easy build IMO.
Also probably small guns and desert duster on another playthrough as well.
With Guns. Lots of Guns. Preferably a suppressed large caliber sniper rifle. Might even count as Big Guns though I chose the Small Arms option just to make sure I made it clear that I want Guns.
I need armor with a stylized skull on the chest. And more Guns. Never enough Guns. With ammo. Lots of ammo.
I'll max out my Endurance as soon as possible, and just tank everything with whatever Energy Weapons I feel like rocking at the time. Planning on experimenting with Plasma Pistols and Shotguns, Laser Muskets and Laser Assault Rifles and the Gatling Laser, and of course, the Gauss Rifle. As for gear, I plan on armoring the crap out of my Vault Jumpsuit and rocking a Tesla/T-60b Power Armor hybrid. Assuming there's still Tesla Armor.
And if there's an Energy Weapon I can charge up for a stronger shot, that's going to be my main weapon. I will be Mega Man.
Small Arms. Some sniping from long range, but I've really gotten stuck on the idea of her using assault rifles and especially submachine guns, preferably with suppressors, so I've voted mid range. Think H&K MP5 and UMP, or the new Sig MPX. I really enjoyed the 12.7 in F:NV, as it was two-handed, the Sleepytyme just didn't have the proper feel.
If it doesn't vaporize them or turn them into a pile of goo, it's for peasants.
I'll likely go for close to mid range energy weaponry. Whatever to replicate the Metal Blaster. That thing was a monster combined with stealth criticals, and that's what I aim to do in Fallout 4 as well.
My first build will be a charismatic tank. 8 charisma for 3 followers instead of 1 with all that extra damage that I plan on equipping with snipers, 3 intelligence to craft my own weapons and my partners, 8 endurance for super toughness and 6 strength for some melee damage and carry capacity. Will be sporting full power armor with riot shield and some 1 handed club or something. My partners will dps them while I tank for them, smash some and [censored] everyone with Charisma checks
Point blank range primarily with melee weapons/unarmed complimented by big guns (LMGs, miniguns) and explosives.
I answered small guns and medium range, but truth is I'll gravitate to whatever weapon feels best when I use it.
I normally don't enjoy sniper type play because in the past the NPC AI was too simple for it to tell a good story. NPCs wouldn't take cover, and usually wouldn't even notice that the guy standing right next to them had just been shot in the head. At least when I was taking the baddies head on things looked right. If AI issues are sufficiently resolved I may try that play-style.
I might modify my build and instead of making a charismatic tank, make a laser gun crew. 8 Charisma for 3 partners instead of 1 with extra health and damage, 9 intelligence for the cyborg perk and the modified laser weapons that I will outfit my team with, and the rest of the points to optimize my own weapon requirements, like enough stats to wield a laser rifle instead of handgun. Or plasma. You know. A high Charisma and Intelligence build like that would allow me to solve a lot of problems verbally too.
(D) All of the above.
I will try playing through the game several times with different characters, trying different weapon specializations, joining different factions, doing different quests. At least once specializing in explosives, for example, while another character might use melee weapons exclusively, or long range rifles, energy weapons, etc.
I normally go with Guns on my first playthrough. Of late I've been playing a lot of snipey/stealth games too. With that in mind my first character in Fallout 4 will probably be a mid-ranged Energy Weapons specialist. Got to keep it interesting.
quite close range with shotguns. I prefer 2 barrel over combat shotgun. When i am out of shells. I use whatever weapon to get the job done.
Stealth, silencers. Going to try and take most out from a distance.
That's how I've always done it, that's how I'm always going to do it.
I should have mentioned, I'm definitely going to be rocking explosives and a lot of Big Guns too. I really hope we get to craft a ton of vicious homemade grenades. I'm basically going to be a mad scientist that can take a beating.
Same way I played in FO3 and NV: scopeless bolt-action rifle at mid and close range. It's very versatile, provided you don't miss.
