How do YOU play?

How I play TES
  • Find Shelter/Buy a house
  • Carry things I could carry IRL
  • Eat food 2-3 time daily
  • Sleep at night 6-9 hours
  • Hunt for food
  • Speak to people in town

I would call this hardcoe Roleplaying.
How do you play?

I roam around. I see a cave, and I go in. I roam around some more. Repeat.

I tend to avoid talking to people until I need supplies or want the game to progress a little so the world might change a little. Quests per se don't motivate me very much (in any game), but I do get around to them eventually. Often by the time I do, I've already found/done half the stuff they wanted me to fetch/do and I get to complete them right then.

I don't roleplay...I'm all about the sandbox exploration and sometimes, I just sit and watch the town, the animals, the "things" in the world as they move through their motions.

Right now my quest log is too long so I pretty much avoid ppl. I have to face palm every NPC that directly asks me for help. That's how awesome Skyrim is.. don't even think about walking into a town if you already have your hands full.

Recently made a new character taking: archery / lock-picking / pickpocket / sneak.
Currently in the process of doing all the theifs guild shenanigans then i intend to go to every city racking up enormous bounties slaughtering everyone i see and pickpocketing/lock-picking everything and everyone.

I'm getting familiar with the game by following the MQ, BUT, I have one rule: If I'm traveling to a new destination for the MQ (main roads only - no cross country), and a landmark appears on my "radar", I must discover and explore it.

As a result, my toon is lvl 29 and... not really that far along the MQ, but she's explored a heckuva lot of locales and most of them have been worth exploring, if not for the loot, then because most of them are not copy-pasta like Oblivion's were. You really never know what you're going to find when you enter a cave... it could be anything.

My khajiit is a sellsword roaming skyrim taking on one job at a time.

I do not own a horse.
I do not fast travel.
I try to find an inn before nightfall to get some rest and find new jobs.
I only eat cooked food.
I only use my war axes and bow in combat because I am not trained in magicka.

I like that playstyle. I could never do it, but I like it.
