Just curious. Recently i was reading this book which was describing the protagonist with this 'well-developed muscular body' and after that '...give him another five years and he could easily be a footballer or model'.
However, once the book mentions that said protagonist is fourteen years old i automatically downgrade him to some kiddy wimp figure. Aaand i'm quite unable to substitute that with the accurate portrayal like in the book. My mind keeps replacing him with a vague iteration of some kid that i'd seen in a picture somewhere else. (not a photo, mind you)
A tad annoying since it seems like my mind is having 'model and texture corruption' like in games I keep trying to imagine a more well built older guy but end up reverting back to that small kid who's probably more of ten years old.
I've noticed that all of my character rendering are only loosely based on the author's own description, i tend to imagine the characters according to what i think they would look like given their status and behaviour.
