How do you put on clothes if you can't take your Pip-boy off

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 3:11 am

Like Stanley says in the game, Pip-Boys have biometric locks. Which means only you can take it off and put it on. Read more about it here

With 100 science skill I bet you could figure out how to safely remove it, but by that time it's already stretched your arm! seriously, look at your arm in the game.

Another one of those great mistakes that permeates Fallout 3.

OR

One possible answer could be that, for the Vault 101 experiment that the Pip's assigned to that Vault were intentionally rigged in that fashion.

Actually, it has:

Looks like only authorized Vault-Tec technicians can take them off, and even then it's not easy.

What if, on Fallout 3, your goat says your a Pip-Boy Programmer?

Just imagine how filthy your arm must be if you can't take it off when you shower.

You shower?

The magical game engine faeries make the Pip-boy automatically warp over the sleeve of whatever you are wearing, just like they make you fall to a easily fought through enclave ambush when getting the GECK.

This brings up another question; If you got it at 10, why does it still fit at 18?

I imagine at first it is like a blood pressure tester: it was inflated to fit, and as you grew, it deflated to accomodate.

1.Maybe Stanley just said that to you so you wouldn't get any ideas into your head.

2.Maybe at a certain age you are taught how to remove your pip boy.

3.Once you leave the Vault your Pip-boy can be removed.

I'm pretty sure it's one of these, or else it's MAGIC!!!

Actually, by open it up he means open up the electronics to fix it. He's a Pip-boy programmer you know?

Also I used to think the button on the glove is to adjust it's size as your hand grows while you grow up.
Since that's not what it is for, I think it adjusts itself automaticly as you grow up.

Truly this is the future! i can wear clothes at the age of 10 and never take them off until ill be 20 and they will fit me as if they were made for me!

Didnt you wonder why do you need your pipboy to take you weapons? and where in the nine hells do you store them? is there a secret room in some secret vault that your pipboy teleports your stuff into and when you need it it teleports your stuff back to you?

And im sure you can take off your pipboy... just think about it, they wont force you to wear a heavy piece of metal for the rest of your life. :)

Well how come when I get done swimming my character comes out dry? How can my character carry loads of weapons, ammo, drugs and armor with ease? How come every set of armor seems to fit so perfectly? The answer to all these questions is that you're playing a game and in order to enjoy it fully you may have to temporarily suspend your disbelief.

Its called a video game.
