Having trouble knowing what's going on via radar. Any suggestions?

Bright red enemies are on the same "floor" or level as you, opaque red dots on your mini map are showing enemies that are either above or below your current position...

Max radar gives a mini map sweep every 5 seconds,revealing the opposing teams positions, although they came be immune to this kill streak via Low profile

Also, as you probably already know, if you equip a silencer you do not show up on the mini map when the fire your weapon

opaque red dots on your mini map are showing enemies that are either above or below your current position...
if they have up arrow next to opaque circle that means they r above u, n down arrow means below u.

Also, as you probably already know, if you equip a silencer you do not show up on the mini map when the fire your weapon
i think that only applys to first couple of shots?
