How do you remove motion blur?

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 10:20 pm

I find it messes up the visuals that I want to actually SEE too much. Makes aiming a real pain also.

How do I remove it?

I've tried using r_motionblur=0 but that command doesn't do anything? What's the command to remove motion blur?

you need to place the commands in your autoexec.cfg file & also try placing them in you system.cfg file so maybe it will work in Multiplayer because the autoexec.cfg only loads for single player.

r_motionblur=0
g_radialBlur=0

I don't see a file called autoexec anywhere.

Motion blur is gorgeous when running at 75 fps. It's done just right. If you're averaging 30-40 then sure it's a mess :P

I don't see a file called autoexec anywhere.You have to make it yourself. Just open NotePad, type in the commands and save it as autoexec.cfg in your C2 folder

at 10 fps it's below a mess, it's just downright headache-inducing :p

why would you want to play at 10 fps? that just ruins the fun that you could be having. I understand monetary restrictions, but man, that doesn't sound appealing at all.

Yep. and at 640x480, it's downright head-exploding. I'd rather stare at a strobe light for an hour than to play 10 minutes of it like that.
