Immortals opening post
IC:
Sebastian had given good advice to Ticedo who wasn't too far from the prospect of losing his arm within the next few moments had he gotten any closer. Serosi's attenion was focused on Sebastian who had rather amusing words. "Are you pleading for your life?" Serosi asked in a calm voice. He had taken away their surprise and was more sure than ever that they were Dark Brotherhood sent to find him. He knew some of the members would have had to been outside of the sanctuary.
Serosi's eyes focused on Parthia who's stance seemed to suggest she was very unsure of her next move. Her body seemed arched with her hand against her back for her short elven blade. Parthia seemed ready to strike but the slight changes in the flexing of her ankle's muscles, the coloring in her toes from a full color to pale told Serosi she was contemplating either charging forward or running backward leaping right out the window. Her large green eyes were wide trying to absorb everything in, afraid she might be struck with something outside of her field of vision. But it would be just the contrary.
"...you're trembling..." Serosi's voice was impersonal yet it filled Parthia to the brim with fear. His fierce eyes had a subtle gentle nature, a contrast rather peculiar like rain on a sunny day. Then slowly Serosi's Cherubim eyes appeared. From each pupil, three smaller violet pupils flowed out in a triangular pattern in the orbit of the original pupil. Due to his arcane ability and mastery of Mysticism he already had a deep insight and unique perspective, but with his eyes fully open he could see the flow of magicka in her body. The manner of its flow told her what he already knew, her will was fluttering.
As Parthia continued to stare in his eyes, to her it seemed as if the entire room, no the entire world had turned pitch black. All she could see dimly was Serosi, and more vividly his eyes. Parthia's legs began to tremble and it felt as nothing was under her feet. Her knees felt weak as did hear eyes. It wasn't forced upon here, merely the choice was given. Stay in this enviroment of stress or fall asleep. The spell and situation was over whelming prompting her to choose the latter. Parthia suddenly fell onto her back limp as a piece of cloth.
In the hallway Oglind had been stopped by Almerion whom he deducted must be Dark Brotherhood and the comotion toward Serosi's room were his fellow Brotherhood scum. Well Oglind knew for himself that appearences could be misleading. The elven girl had put him at ease with her lie but she just as well may be the most dangerous of them all. Oglind took a few steps back and replied.
"I'm not asking you, i'm telling you!" Oglind had to get Serosi back in one piece and only kill him if he refused. In any case he wouldn't let a fellow Morag Tong be killed by the likes of them. Although...Serosi may be capable enough against all three. "Guards!" Oglind called out. Two guards arrived from behind Oglind shield and sword drawn.
"Moris what is this about?" One of the guards asked.
"I have reason to believe that this man is a assassin as are the people he has brought with him." Oglind tried to sound as guard like as possible. Up the stairs another pair of guards arrived each weilding a halberd. "We heard some screams!"
Oglind couldn't help but smile. Though his power was only to copy the appearence of others, in certain situation that gave him more of an advantage than some might imagine. Had he not been using the guard's appearence, he would be the one fighting against guards. But like this the Nord was outnumbered five to one. From behind two halberds were pointing toward Almerion's back, from the front two shields were held up with long swords ready to stab while Oglind held his halberd up ready to strike down in a chopping motion. "Step aside." Oglind ordered coldly.
OOC: Nord! Why did i think Altmer...
My post
OOC: Yeah, I was trying to show another side to Sebastian that I could only do from his perspective. I don't think I'll do it all the time, just the odd post here and there, I will experiment more with that style in the Fanfic I'm currently planning on writing.
And Almerion is a Nord not Altmer. But he would rather be the latter.
IC:
"I plead for nothing but the blessings of my mother, and my father. Matron of the night and creator of the void both." Sebastian spat, the bow string biting against his hand as he drew it back inch by inch. "Would you plead for your own life? Do you see you're life as such a valuable thing that you should plead?"
There was a shift in the air, nothing serious, but Sebastian noticed Parthia was losing her composure, each muscle seemed to twitch and flex as if each was trying to make its own escape from Serosi.
How did she even get in the brotherhood? Useless child. Sebastian thought savagely.
"Guards!" a voice bounced through the walls of the hallways outside. It was either a good thing or a bad thing, it would depend entirely on which way he span it. If they got into the room that is. But he could also just make out Almerions voice in the lull of noise, they where safe for the moment.
Sebastian shouted fiercely as Serosi eyed Parthia, releasing the arrow then throwing the bow in a split second, his left arm followed a path set by the momentum of the throw, falling down to his blade. He pushed the webbing between his thumb and his finger down onto it before grasping the handle with each digit, then he wrenched it from its hiding place to face Serosi.
---------
"But, there's five of you? I'm just a brittle old nord who hasn't partaken in the combative traditions of my kinsmen for many years!" He recited theatrically, looking at each of the three guards before him with a smile, his long teeth revealed. "But no, I'm afraid I will not step aside."
He loved some guards for their simple discipline. Sure, they where harder to bribe, but in situations like this they where a blessing.
"Such a well polished helm you have there my good friend." He said to the one on the left, eying the reflections he could make out in it.
Almerion dropped his cloak from his shoulders and span it around the first guards halberd as he swung it towards his shoulder, he'd caught him by surprise, he span it and forced it from his hand, then grabbed the handle and moved with its momentum to sweep the guards legs from underneath him after a full rotation. His helm fell off mid fall and clattered across the ground, drowning out his muffled child like shriek and the crunch of bones as Almerion struck downwards with the wooden handle of the halberd into his head, forcing it into the hard floor.
A second halberd swung towards him, another fruitless attack. The halberd was inches from the vampire, stuck. Almerion had forced the end of his own halberd into the hole between the blade and body of the weapon, he had then brought it down and forced the cloaked blade of his own into a fire bracket on the wall.
"Appearances can be deceiving. As you can well see, now, if you would like to stay and die, do so. But make it quick, I have business to conclude in the next room." He said, addressing the rest of the guards as the one standing behind him tried to pull his weapon down. "But before you make any rash decisions, or give uninformed orders, I must tell you, there is a doppelganger among us."
"And what's that 'sposed to mean then eh?" A screech like voice of the guard behind him called over.
"It means my friend, one of you fine gentlemen are deceiving all of us." He said over his shoulder before turning back to the three in front of him, the immediate threat. "You see, I'm a vampire, its too late to lie about it now so I might as well let you all know. But let me give you a lesson, each race on this illustrious orb we call our home, this planet and this continent, each one, has a different taste and scent to its blood. I smell, Imperial, it's a strong scent which accounts for three of you, then the nord on the floor, weaker. And just as week, I can pick out the scent of an Ashlander."
"But there's no dunmer here is there matey?" The Imperial guard from behind shouted, trying still to wrench the halberd down.
"Or is there? I believe, yes. I don't know which one of you is he, or she. But I know that one of you are parading behind a beard, or mask if you will. To hide you're true face."
Immortals reply
Sebastians response was typical of this type. There were also those amongst the Morag Tong who prayed to Mephala. Serosi knew he had only his own ability to rely on, not some supposed gods. The question posed by Sebastian to Serosi was not worth answering. Trying to be fast against Serosi head on would prove a mistake. Just as trying to pass through water forcefully and quickly only became more difficult with more speed and struggling. His incompressable vision made it seem to him as if everything slowed down. In his vision a pulse of circles in successive radius spread out on the floor from him. A powerful surge of magicka flowed through him grasping the arrow in mid air and flicking it back via telekinetic mastery.
The moment it was flung back, Serosi's world turned inverted as he landed with his feet on the ceiling. The moment he touched 'down' he ran at full speed toward Sebastian swinging his sica 'up to down' while in Sebastian's position the momentum would be rather down to up aimed for his face. Being of vampiric lineage some 'un-naturalities' should be expected especially from one such as Serosi. As he swung the blade he also ran over head above Sebastian landing soundlessly upon the table with his weaponry on it while casting a three fire spell that he seemed to 'punch' out in an alternative pattern in Ticedo's direction.
-----------------------
"Vampire! The vampire is trying to lie his way out of trouble!" Oglind quickly yelled out as he chopped down with his halberd toward Almerion. The rest couldn't very well believe Almerion rather than one of their own could they? Each attacked with their respective weapon. Oglind knew that this man wasn't just another rank and file member, he seemed alot more experienced and deadly than the common assassin. Probably much more effective than he was which was why he needed all the help he could get. If he could get to Serosi, maybe he would be fine, or maybe even Serosi would end him right then and there.
My reply
OOC: Very nice there immortal. I didn't see that coming.
IC:
Sebastian was nearly forced into a double take as the Dunmer caught his arrow. He didn't see the movement, it was to fast. But he what he saw was enough to confirm it, the arrow tossed aside like a play thing.
His mind whirled faster than Serosi moved, but his body struggled to keep up, he raised his sword in defiance to Serosi's next onslaught. The shadow like creature moved along the ceiling, brandishing a fierce metallic streak, It was all Sebastian could do to move out of the way and save himself from the void.
"Parthia!" He screamed across the room to the frozen bosmer. "Help!" He scrambled back furiously, one leg pushing him back as the other supported his severed arm. Blood sprayed out in protest before slowing to a gurgeling steady flow of slowly clotting blood. He didn't feel the pain as it happened, the adrenaline coursing through his body had seen to that, but now thunderbolts coursed through his body, scorching every nerve.
He was backed against a wall beside Ticedo, who seemed to have avoided the larger part of Serosi's spell, but hadn't escaped unharmed. He forced his right arm away from the stump that was his sword arm, clumsily holding his silver blade aloft, ready to parry and defend for aslong as possible.
"What are you!" He shouted defiantly to the ash born, he had never seen such power or finesse in any body except Almerion, it was possible that this dunmer was perhaps his equal, or his better.
---
Almerion didn't react to the guards words. He gave him a relaxed eerie smile as the two others ran forward. He side stepped one sword without thinking, he was still glaring at the guard who spoke, still smiling. Planning.
He raised his enamoured hand and held two fingers up, both together and standing straight, the guards attacking him almost slipped up in their amusemant to his chosen weapon as they pushed their attack, One swung down, the clang of metal meeting metal resounded throughout the hallways as Almerion caught the blade in an ebony clad hand, the man let out a gargling moan after dropping to the floor after Almerion had pushed into the soft spot between his exposed collarbones, crushing his windpipe with his chosen weapon.
The other stopped attacking, merely looking at him, his face a mixture of astonished surprise and fear, he began to tear away in the opposite direction, the over talkative imperial whose halberd Almerion had trapped in hot pursuit.
The vampire composed himself and looked upon the final guard with that same all knowing smile.
OOC: A little short, but hey, atleast i maimed Sebastian.
Immortals reply
Serosi's senses were overwhelmed once again with the scent of blood as Sebastian's arm was cleaved by his fast moment. He felt exhilarated every time there was the possibility to fight so much so that he was lost in it sometimes. The series of fire spells weren't aimed at Ticedo, but at the alcohol on the opposite table which burst into flames. Ticedo however covered ground quickly and slashed at Serosi or at least where he thought Serosi was. The Dunmer had used illusion to bend the light slightly making it as if one would reach into a stream of water for something and missing it completely. With such a spell Serosi could easily deflect each cut faster than it arrived. Quickly as the exchange happened Serosi breathed in deeply using alteration to maintain the composure of his lungs while the oxygen was seperated from the air inside. Catching a moment between the trading of blade slashes, he blew out the oxygen over his empty hand, palm up as if he were blowing a kiss, but instead of a kiss it was oxygen that was soon ignited by a weak fire spell in his hand sending a torrent of fire toward Ticedo. Serosi was as if the dragons of old breathing fire.
"Parthia! Help!" The poor girl laid motionlessly on the floor. From the darkness Sebastian's voice awoke could be heard feintly in the background. Soon the heat became overwhelming and her eyes opened finding the room partially engulfed in flames. They had to get out. Smoke was filling the room. From her sitting position she drew an arrow on her elven bow and took careful aim releasing it past Ticedo. Serosi did not have a direct view of Parthia or her shot of the arrow which missed Ticedo narrowly and cut Serosi across his left palm before striking the wall behind him. For a moment Serosi went dizzy from the sight of the blood. The sight of blood itself did not bother him but he hated to see his hands being dirty and the sight of his own blood from his hands had a strange effect on him.
Oglind's face remained calm letting go of his halberd as he stared at Almerion. With the rest of the guards gone there was no need to keep pretending. He kept this appearence up only to hide his actual face, but no longer would he pretend to be a guard. The vampiric Nord seemed to be very fast, and would catch Oglind if he just tried to run. Instead he decided to reason with him.
"You might be able to kill me, but not before Serosi kills three of yours, and than you." Oglind wasn't lying but he was setting up the bait. Serosi was now somewhat cornered. Anyone that came to him he would fight. It wasn't possible in such a situation to bring him back. Instead the bait would be laid and the Brotherhood would follow Serosi with the Morag Tong in persuit. Eventually their goal would be reached, but not now.
NillocJames reply
Ticedo stared at the inferno for a moment, in the narrow hall he could not roll to the side nor backwards, and he would be damned if he was going to stay down and get hit by another fire. Instead he did the only logical thing go forward underneath the fire towards the dumner. He felt the fires heat but managed to avoid the majority of the blast. By then ticedo was infuriated and responded by throwinghis sheath at waist height spinning in a circle towards Serosi. It was a crude distraction byt he was quick behind it with his blade in one hand and his hand in his robe. He found what he wanted two small vials of corrosive poison. The first followed prompltly after the sheath towards Serosi's head while the other was tucked into his robes while Ticedo lunged with his blade trying to stab the man.
My reply
Almerion just stared at the Dunmer, a horrifying realisation coming over him. He could smell Sebastians blood, mingled with burning furniture and alcohol.
"Try anything and you will die. As will the rest of you! Tong ashlander!" He spat, turning on his heel with one last look of contempt as he ran towards the room. The heat blasted at him almost instantly, it was like walking into the torrent of a gods wrath.
He glanced around all the figures in the room, Sebastian and Ticedo where on the floor, Parthia was holding a bow looking as if she may feint, and Serosi.. Serosi, what a curious creature thought Almerion. He was transfixed by him, he sensed something the same in them, like opposites that attract.
"Run now, Save you're selves, I will handle this mess and join you shortly." Almerion shouted over the roaring flames, not taking his eyes away from Serosi who was staring at his hand, blood dripping from his palm, dancing on its way down to the smouldering heath where it would boil dry.
Sebastian didn't need telling twice, he scrambled, with a great amount of difficulty and clumsiness, to his feet. Stooping over to pick up his forearm and hand before running toward the doorway, He tripped and slid outwards, hitting his head against the opposite wall in the hallway.
His vision blurred a little but the pain in his arm soon threw his eyes into contrast. A guard was stood before him.
"Don't come closer." He muttered weakly, his head lulling from side to side, he'd lost a lot of blood, he was slipping. "I'll kill you."
He didn't even have the strength to lift his sword and back up his threat, he was at the mercy of this guard, and he didn't imagine he had earned much favour in the way of the authorities compassion in past years. Not that they knew of his identity and his work, he was based in the summerset isles after all.
Almerion was smiling, the scent of the Dres dunmers blood was intoxicating to him, it reeked of power, youth and purity. He had never experienced such a thing, he had to have it for himself.
Almerion took a breath, his chest heaving and expanding slowly, he released the air, the flames around him flickered violently before calming.
"You have a- ah, flare for arson, do you not?" He said over the fury of the fire and the splintering wood of the room around them. "Parthia my dear girl, tend to Sebastian, he needs dire help, I'm sure you have the abilities needed to help." He added with a wink, hardly unnerved about the situation unfolding. In his minds eye he saw it like a tragic tale of loss unfolding before him on the stage.
"Shall we?" He smiled at Serosi, then with speed you would not think him capable of, his face changed into a ferocious snarl and he launched himself at Serosi, his armoured hand swinging downwards towards Serosi's, flames licking the hem of his pants, with no effect.
Immortals reply
OOC: A bit of character control with the owner's permission.
IC:
As the sheath spun toward Serosi's waist striking him but only partially as Serosi rotated with the spin deflecting the item while at the same time dodging the poisonous vile due to the rotation. Regardless he felt the impact of the sheath but was quickly ignored as more pressing matters were at hand. The sharp stab slide across Serosi's blade toward his left as he continued the rotation of his hips. Slight coordinated movements provided power. He then kicked off the wall behind him sending Ticedo across the floor on his back. Parthia stood behind the man with another arrow drawn. Serosi's eyes gazed over her's and anyone else seeing his eyes would be affected by his spell as well. Parthia suddenly felt vertigo, her arrow loosened and struck right beside Serosi's head against the wall. It seemed as everything was spinning, the temperature had gotten hotter and hotter and the smoke was making things difficult to both breath and see.
Outside Oglind couldn't help but smile as Almerion seemed to show a sign of frustration as he turned away. If all went according to plan, he may even help Serosi kill the remainder of the Dark Brotherhood before returning to Mournhold. He bent down picking up the halberd and walked slowly toward the door. Before he had gotten any closer, a terribly bloodied man, the young elven girl and another man exited the room that seemed to be breathing fire.
"Don't come closer." Sebastian muttered weakly, his head lulling from side to side, he'd lost a lot of blood, he was slipping. "I'll kill you."
Oglind coldly lifted up the halberd and swung downward at the man. Before he could see the spray of blood and the sound of flesh being torn the halberd was deflected as Parthia stood infront of him holding her blade up by the handle, and with an open palm against the unsharpened side causing the pole arm to slide to the ground. She didn't wait another moment before she charged in the gap slashing at Oglind's chest, grunting with each strike in frustration. He stumbled back as he was being struck, the chain mail as part of the disguise of a guard made of iron holding up fairly well. Oglind wasn't used to this sort of armor but did as best he could.
"Hurry up and get away! Ticedo take him back!" Parthia yelled as she was fighting Oglind who had managed to pull out his longsword but was still on the defensive. Each one of her quick slashes and stabs was atleast partially deflected while the strikes seemed largely ineffective against the mail armor. She charged a bit closer in toward Oglind as he was taking steps back and knocked him off balance. As he stumbled she ran back toward him kicking off the side railing and landing with her feet on his shoulders knocking him on his back with her full weight, whatever was of it straddling his upper torso, her knees pressing down against his biceps keeping most of the mobility of his arms at bay. With that Parthia lifted up her elven shortsword with both hands, tip down and stabbed downward toward his face as hard as she could. Oglind only narrowly managed to reach with his iron gauntlets to grasp the blade. He tried kicking her in the back but the armor removed much of his mobility. Slowly, slowly the blade was nearing his left cheek and just before it touched Parthia let out a scream forcing more of her weight forward into the blade.
"DIE!!!" The blade cut Oglind's cheek with suddenly turned ashen grey. Parthia's body for a moment went weak with surprise allowing Oglind the split second to push away the blade. With his left hand he back handed her across the face sending her onto her back with a whimper. He quickly struggled to get up and finish off the assassin but before he was even to his knees she was already quickly on her feet and thrusting her foot in his chest. He landed on his back hard but instead of continuing the attack, the Parthia leapt off the side of the upstairs down to the main floor and made her way past a handful of guards, first shoving one into a group of others and then leaping over another's shoulders.
Inside Serosi had watched as the trio left his room as the Nord entered it. He stank of an unrefined vampire, merely an animal who had put a face and a name on his gluttonous blood lust. For a moment he thought of Mehra laying in her bed uncovered and bleeding and at first it was an enticing image, and then suddenly he wondered if he was any different from the vampire before him. Only his words brought back his full attention to the situation at hand.
"Shall we?" Almerion smiled at Serosi, then with speed you would not think him capable of, his face changed into a ferocious snarl and he launched himself at Serosi, his armoured hand swinging downwards towards Serosi's, flames licking the hem of his pants, with no effect.
Serosi knew most vampires had a problem with fire but this one didn't seem to care. Perhaps a powerful enchantment, or something even more. He stood on the table where many of his tools were studying this beast. In his right hand he had the adamantium glass sica while on his lower back, handle pointing downward for his left hand he had the long glass dagger. Around his legs he had the wire he had used as well as an assortment of throwing tools. On the table only lay the ebony blade, sickle chain and weight along with his bow and arrows. As he saw the ebony clad arm swing down at him like a warhammer he cast a mark spell and dropped onto his back on the table blocking the strike with his sica. However it wasn't a rigid block, but a block designed to absorb impact first by being on his back against the table and spreading the force out over a larger area, and next by bending his arms with the strike of the vampire to cushin the blow. Even so the table snapped like a thin plank sending the items on the table on the floor. What could have been a deadly strike instead was more like a forced fall from table level to the ground.
Before the full weight of the strike could be pressed upon Serosi he cast the recall spell appearing infront of Almerion in mid air. He wasted no time and slashed with the curved sica blade at Almerion with his right as he threw a dagger from close proximity toward his stomach before he even landed.
My reply
Almerion landed, one knee on the floor, as Serosi appeared in front of him and pressed his attack he sprang up, bending backwards and slapping the sica blade upwards, changing the direction of the momentum. He didn't manage to avoid the dagger, which sliced across his side, just missing his kidneys, not that it mattered, he didn't need them after all.
The towering vampire shot backwards, stepping over a collapsed coffee table, it's a shame really, it was a rather regal table from the looks of its un-burnt half. He was calculating his next attack, not something he usually did, usually he lived for the living moment. He never watched out for what was ahead, he just handled what was their with him.
He'd found what he'd use, including the table. He stood straight, his arms wide apart, and concentrated on his chosen objects. A flaming arm chair, the coffee table and half of a support beam which had fallen to the floor. A bright slivering light left his body from his hands, gliding to the objects and disappearing within them. Each instantly began rising up, levitating under the command of his Alteration spell.
What was bad was that he couldn't control their path, unless he wanted them to move up or down, but he'd figured out a way around this already.
"Have you ever seen a powerful shield spell in action Hybrid?" He shouted over the inferno, taking a deep breath and releasing it, generating some amount of rhythm for the spell. "If not, you're about too!" He screamed, releasing a burst of power, the shield spell was overpowered and shot out around him, he pushed its area of effect and it pushed every inanimate object in its path in what ever direction it was going at a great speed. Each levitating object flew towards Serosi, the flames shooting up higher with the sudden rush of what oxygen was left in the room, the glass windows behind him smashed, he used their noise as his signal and charged forward towards Serosi, shortly behind the flaming wreckage. His Arm curved back and his combat stance flawless.
Immortals reply
Oglind stood outside the door way just in time to see the last exchange. Now Serosi stood as graceful as ever amongs the splintered remains of the table he was standing on, opposite of Almerion who seemed to be trying to cast a rather impressive alteration spell. Oglind hadn't seen anything like it. Serosi however didn't share the sentiment.
"Clumsy." A slash of disgust coursed through Serosi's being. Such brutish use of the arcane would be Almerion's undoing. The sica was put away and Serosi's knees bent slightly. His left hand grasped his right wrist, who's palm was partially open. This was a specialized assassination technique he had used in the Morag Tong. The amount of magic needed meant that proxies would be needed to supply it such as a group of people or another powerful source of magic. As such he often used it against Telvanni Mage Lords or would purposefully attract guards to provide a magicka pool for him. Serosi's skill lied in the fluidity and efficiency of the conversion. A flicker of light was seen for a brief moment and then a flash of violet lightning seemed to web out from the center of his palm. He was using Mysticism to absorb such an ample supply of magic converting it into destructive lightning and speed. Oglind took a step back as he felt even himself being sapped of potential.
The shield spell grew further, and Serosi's attack became stronger with each moment. And then within a brief moment as Oglind looked in the room, it looked as if lighting had struck side ways. Serosi's body moved almost instantly being carried by his vicious intent. The rubble in his path was torn assunder sending splinters in every direction as mere moments felt like hours for Serosi's eyes. The shield spell in his path would react as any spell in the face of mysticism's ability, and Serosi soon converted the power to do his will. Almerion had provided excessive force and Serosi was redirecting that force. Being relaxed and fluid allowed him to be efficient and fast while proper aligntment provided a base of power from which to launch to.
My reply
The vampire watched Serosi move towards him at ridiculous speeds, one hand glowing, passing through his shield spell with ease, over arrogant. Almerion acted quickly, his body glowed a dim red, he felt heavier, he couldn't pick his feet up, he had burdened himself.
As Serosi made contact, Almerion clasped his glowing hand and pointed his ebony arm outwards towards the corner of the room, the shock spell coursed through his body. He felt pain, but nothing fatal, nothing serious. It was weaker than Serosi had hoped for, it followed a contained path, shunted from body part to body part between a shock shield Almerion had placed upon himself to guide the thunderous spell through his body.
Serosi's hand stopped glowing, Almerion still had it locked in a grip strong enough to crush masonry and bend Adamantium, instead, Almerions, light was coming from Almerions left hand. In one heart stopping moment all was silent in the world. Peace shrouded the room like a layer of silk, before being torn and charred by destruction as the lightning left Almerions body and destroyed the corner of the room.
Almerions hair fluttered around him as the wind swirled through the now gaping hole that was the meeting point of two walls, caressing his lifeless pale skin with cold love. The floor sagged but he didn't slip thanks to the burden spell which made him the immovable object to which the unstoppable force, Serosi, would meet.
He lifted the spell, and relinquished his grip on Serosi, walking backwards to the hole, his cloak fluttering around his legs, his hair dancing wildly in the wind, as if to ward of predators. His arms held wide almost as if he was planning on flying from the building, rather than taking the four floor drop.
"You're young and arrogant, you're strong yet, maybe even more than me." He allowed himself a smug smile at the last statement, not believing it. "But you're arrogance will be you're downfall, did you really think that could stop me? I have defeated creatures more fearsome than you, I have bested fighters stronger than you, and mages more talented. You absorbed my spell, I admit to being a little thrown off, but did you not think a master of alteration could defend himself from a mere destruction spell? After all, all I had to do was Alter its path. Now, if you don't mind I must leave, So until next we meet, good bye."
With his last good bye he dropped, the wind howled at him, deafening him, but then, it was quiet, more manageable. He slowed down in mid air, his alteration spell wouldn't completely stop him from landing unharmed, so he lifted his Ebony encased hand and forced the talon like fingers into the wall. Sparks kissed his face as he slid to a slow halt feet above the ground.
He dropped down, his knees protesting a little from the sudden force in which he met the ground with, but they worked just fine as he walked through the town towards the burnt out sanctuary. There where no guards to speak of throughout the town, it was more or less deserted save for the odd vagrant drunk or beggar. That was until he reached the sanctuary, and saw why the town was empty. He almost forgot about Sebastians lie about the bandit groups attacking the town, forcing the guards to heavily fortify the doors. It would prove troublesome leaving the town, but not impossible. He would remedy that problem when the time was right.
Without a second glance, he entered the charred building and sought out refuge beneath the ground.
Now, thats not the best fight scene in existence but it serves the purpose of this discussion.
For example, Serosi attacked sebastian, a competent RPer will never tell you what damage he did/or didnt do unless its been discussed with whomever he or she is fighting before hand, that comes under the category of character control. What Immortal did was post his attack and left it open for reaction, I decided that such an attack from such a creature would not be easily avoidable, so Sebastian was injured. If i decided it was a weak attack i would have had Sebastian dodge or block the attack then press and attack of his own, leaving it open for Immortals reaction.
later we see Almerion and Serosi fighting, both unique with their abilities, One being a master of Mystism the other being a master of Alteration. Almerion used the usualy defensive school of alteration in an offensive attack against Serosi, Serosi could have been hurt, but using his creativity he absorbed and transformed the magic and proceeded to attack almerion, Almerion then burdened himself so he was unmovable, Then he set up a series of shielded pathways to channel serosi's offensive energy through his body and out of the other side.
Now you will also see some character control on immortals part, but that was after a discussion with me, and after my permission was granted. Keep it fair.
In short, never post the outcome of you're attack, that isnt for you to decide. Rather than posting "Edward rushed forward, thrusting his blade towards the central mass of his opponent, Dropping under his defences for a fatal blow." post something more like "Edward rushed forward, His attack strong yet clumsy, he stumbled a little in his approach. If his adversary noticed he would be able to recover from the attack."
Obviously those two examples above where crude, but it gives you an idea, with edwards second example, his enemy would decide to notice the stumble and use it to his advantage, or be oblivious and take the attack.
You will find much more indepth tip and advice in the actual pinned guid though.
