Personally, I'm not especially fond of the guide, but it can give you a little introduction on how we do things around here, I think.

Why would you want to be a statue? Generally, you need to RP as one of the ten playable races.

because statues last very long time and can see the world around them crumble to dust or grow or in the case of the one near gnaar moak in morrowind get completly flooded and destroyed and still LIVE to taunt the world

Agreed. After all, a statue...well, it can't really do anything, now can it? Kind of hard to get in on the action when everybody else is off on the adventure, and you're cemented to the ground.

So, in general, I'm going to say that most people would say 'no' to the statue idea, because it isn't practical, and there's not much reason for it.

So, this is considered interesting?
As I continued to be shaken around inside the adventurer's napsack, I found myself wedged between a chicken leg and biscuit.

Twas a most perilous moment, and the adventurer saved me when he was hungry and smote that foul biscuit with his teeth.

But a statue isn't a character. It's a piece of scenery.

But again, you aren't actually doing anything. As the above posts pointed out, all you'd be doing is describing how the damn thing is lodged against a sandwich. You can't actually participate in [censored] if you're an inanimate piece of brick/wood/whatever the hell they use.

So no. No to statue at Gnaak Mok.
No to Ash Statue.
No to dragon statues, no to Daedra statues, no to statues of any size, shape or form.

No.
No.
No.

An ordinary person is the most unique of all.

When you Roleplay on a forum (this or anyone) its all text based, and on having fun. Decent grammer, and knowing when to split your posts into paragraphs also help. If you cant think of anything uniqe for a charater sheet, it doesnt have to be. You could very easily base your character off yourself, and respond the way you would.

Hey, DarkNova, can I be a statue? Pleeease? I bet you twenty bucks I could pull it off somehow. :biglaugh:

Anyway, enough of me being a twit. If you wanna make a unique character, then do it; take an idea and run with it. But the key word is 'character', not 'sentient inanimate object.' I've pulled all kinds of random oddities out of my proverbial ass (Pick a Zeterra, any Zeterra ) and made them work, so I'm sure you could too. You've certainly got a similar ornery spark in ya. ;)

Once you got a character sheet that's detailed enough that someone can visualize your creation by reading it and an RP that strikes your fancy, put in an application via PM to its creator and get on your merry way! That's how I started off. And don't be too critical of yourself at first either. Looking back, I know I svcked when I first started. You remember, dontcha, Nova? Random, senseless romance and ubering through my teeth? Ah, good times..

Well, we all know the story of the little boy who cried troll...

That, and these aren't the WoW forums. If someone was actually serious with this stuff, and you start screaming 'bloody troll,' then who has egg all over their face?

I honestly can't believe you guys didn't catch it (though you may have. Internet-speak is very confusing). Just look at his name. And his picture. And his idiocy.

Well, I have to say kudos to you guys for making me literally burst out laughing at uni today. Cheers! :D

Oh, and just to be slightly on topic, 'fic' is short for 'fan fiction'.
