you have the symptoms of studying too much
I think some of us in this forum are older than you realize. We've been out of school for a long time. ;)

Yeah, and if some of us make bad jokes we can just blame it on whatchamacallit, like when we lose our keys... ;)

Hey, advlts can study too :D perhaps she's taking some incredibly complex course or something.

though yea its probably the whatchamacallits. What does that mean anyway? Saw it in a comic once, thought it was random garble made up by the author.

names I use, I either recycle them from wayyyyyy back from dw1 days or nicknames me and my criends come up with when we were drunk and so forth.
Like my khajits name is Sneaky like Panda
My current dunmer I grabbed a nams from my favorite book series, his first name is Mordieth

I started coming up with lastnames when im doing rp playthrus and use just Shadow if im starting a throwaway charector to learn the game.

But so far Mordeith BloodHand is currently my most engaging charector, dunno if thats a good dunmer last name but it works for me.

“watchamacallit” is a confabulation of “what do you call it.” It is used when, in mid sentence of conversation, you can not come up with the name of the item you are talking about. Therefore, “I was walking down the road from Bruma and ran into one of those watchamacallit, fiery gate things.”

I use names appropriate for the race. For Bretons, I'll look up French names on the internet and pick out one that fits the character. Same thing with Latin and Scandinavian names for Imperials and Nords.
For other races I look up the names used in the games on UESP and create a name based on that.

Something like this happened with my latest character. I needed an Imperial surname so I went to UESP to get some ideas. I came across a Bloodmoon NPC who was very similar to the character I had in mind. And I even liked the name. I dropped my original character concept and just imported that Bloodmoon NPC into Oblivion. I've never done anything like that before. It's working out well so far.

It's her name.
(I suspect it's not her actual name, but it's the name she uses. Her origins are... complicated).
