How do you want the news broken to you? A big splashy magazine article? An interview on the blog? IGN with their embedded videos and scrutiny? What about a nice 'here ya go' from the devs on this forum?

So every morning before I leave and when I get back, I'm usually a dedicated watcher. If there was a thread from the moderators or something saying, "Guess what? IT'S COMIN' OUT." And showed us pics and everything--- I mean, we wouldn't have to deal with april fools at all since that stuff's already passed. They'd show us pics, then they'd announce it like, two days later for the Game Informer thing to happen, and then continue that at Quakecon, and... well... man I need to lay down, all of this excitement has gone to my head! :flamethrower:

Game Magazine: NO! I find they're terrible, the interviews horrendous, and often times highly bribed. Plus, they beat my favorite baby with a lead filled snow shoe.

Certainly not on IGN/another Internet Gaming Site; it would be filled with elitist comments about the "true TES fans."

I want Todd to show up at my house and tell me "Maverick thank you for playing Oblivion and Morrowinds, here is the first copy for TES V WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"

I want Todd to make a thread in the Rogue Warrior section, because we'd never find it.

I don't believe I see you in this section much. What's the special occasion? Do you smell a TES V announcement in the air as I do? The air is thick with the smell of Nordic alchohol, is it not?

I want Todd Howard to personally arrive at my door dressed up as a viking and humming the theme of TES V to tell me TES V is officially being released. Then I want him to give me free, signed copy.

I'd like to see some intro video on the Elder Scrolls website before the homepage opens up; Like a teaser or something.

I would personally like to come onto these forums one day, and find a new thread that gives some type of riddle. That leads to a countdown, or something similar to when they will give a big announcement, which will be the announcement of "Where's Waldo? 2". But that will just be cover to draw everyone away, and then, when no one is on the forums, they will make a new thread, that will have the the official announcement for TES 5 in it.

The a local Spanish radio station that plays Mariachi music from sun up to sun down. If not that I'd prefer to learn of it here on the forums. At least some strong hinting from the devs that stock us while chatting in the forums.

Nah, a massive countdown in that section instead.

I want the White Knight, who talks backwards, to get hired at BGS and tell us about it.

I'd want them to drop the news on forum in some quick way, but we know they'll do a magazine. So a few people will buy the magazine, the rest of us will wait till someone posts the scans onto the forums, then the mods will scramble to close those threads as the magazine tries to sue the people doing the scanning. Then we start pm'ing people around the forum to find who has the link, then find the russian version when the english versions dry up. Someone then starts making photoshop comparisons of the screenshots or artwork to Bethesda's previous games, or other funny material to prove how much their new stuff svcks, and then we kinda cycle those last couple steps for months while we argue and tear it all apart.

Does Todd even have an account on the forums anymore?

A massive subliminal campaign that starts tomorrow, but takes a week for anyone to figure out, and when it is finally decoded, the entire gaming world is aware of the announcement. Then, once IGN or some other gaming website posts the completely decoded solution to the campaign, Beth publishes an official announcement and a SS/concept, and a few days later we get a cover on GI and some more info.

I honestly don't care how I find out about TES V. All I care is whether it's been anounced or not.

Now that you said that, the Rogue Warrior forum is going to get some more traffic.

For as long as they announce it soon enough I don't mind even if they use smoke signals.

Obviously I would prefer it on the forums, but Bethesda's marketeers are apparently under the impression that people still buy video game magazines and always have their big reveal in Game Informar.

Doesn't matter where the first sourcing comes from, as long as its legit.

I want to hear it soon and vague, ideally.

If they could just confirm work in progress, maybe drop a few sketches, imply a target release window, and tease a little about the scenario; that would be all I ask.

I don't really want mad specifics until it gets closer to release.
