How You will spend the TESV release day?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 11:37 am

Hello everyone. I was wondering how the release day of TESV will look for some TES fans. So i've decided to start this thread.

>My day of TESV release< - A day before release i will probably won't asleep, because of nerves. The release day will be a working day. So i will have to go to work early morning and spend 8 hours at it. Before i go to work i will leave my X360 and TV on, so i can insert the TESV disc as fast as possible after coming back. At work it will be a REALLY LONG deal of time. Painfull and really booring 8 hours. Ok after the work finish i will get as fast as possible to the bus stop, and wait about 10min for bus. Then travel to the shop called "Media Markt" (Szczecin/Poland) and go right straight to the 360 games shelf. At this point i will be so excited and shaking walking proudly to get my hands on the TESV box. Ok after payment probably i will have no patience to wait for the bus, so i will probably take a taxi to get back home. After arriving, run fast to elevator, go up,open door fast, forget about my dog that will need to get out to make sh**, and finally insert my TESV into console and enjoy :))
Oh and i will put a note on my door - ""DO NOT DISTURB!! ANY DISTURBING CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY AND EVEN DEATH!! SO BEWARE!!""

So guys, How about Your TESV release day??

Regards.

Day before release: Excited anticipation, then no sleep.

Day of release: Borrow car, go to Wal Mart, buy it, take it home, put it in PC, read manual when it's installing to kill time, cry from joy when it's installed and I'm playing.

I'm sure this forum will be locked up every 10 minutes on release day, so I won't be on this forum.

Seriously, about half of the time I try to edit a post, it is locked while I'm editing it. Never seen anything like it.

Complain on the forums that it's not Morrowind...?

Naw, I'll call it sick to work. Pick it up and play all day. I'll get totally burnt out.

I'm almost certainly pre-ordering it, likely with CE and same day shipping (like I did with OB). If it arives on time, and if it runs on my computer (Oblivion did not. Nothing more disappointing than getting past the orgismic intro movie and having the game crash on you), then I'll be playing it. Otherwise, I'll be on the forums reading reviews.

I'd probably do release date delivery on Amazon, and then look outside every time I hear a truck roll by thinking its UPS :)

Either you can't go or I will be going with you on holiday. I know a nice resort in Hawaii that has no TV, radio, phone service or internet and they are very near the Kona coffee distributor. ;)

When they ANNOUNCE the game I plan on dancing through the streets naked. If anyone wants to come to STL and join me feel free. The day its released I'll probably take a month or so off from life and become completely engrossed in its pure awesomeness...

I'll get my brother to take me to GameStop on the day it comes out, buy it, go to Walmart and buy some dog toys and Red Bull, go home, give the toys to my dogs so that they won't bother me, pop the disc into my Xbox, and sink into (hopefully) pure gaming bliss. If it doesn't come out on Friday, i'll probably call in sick the next day.

The day it comes out? If possible I'll probably be spending a lot of time on the forums - it will be a few days before I get my copy from Bethesda and I might as well spend that time earning my keep :D

The day before release I'll probably do what I always do.. maybe 10 days afterwards I'll hear about it.. maybe a year after it's released I'll buy it, it may take that long for modders to make it worthwhile :P

Morrowind release day I was so overwhelmed by the sight of Seyda Neen that I had to go to bed. My husband decided to take a look at the game, as long as I couldn't play, and the next day we bought him a copy.

If I actually notice it coming out, and my machine can run it, I'll stay up all night the night before and hit the shop the minute it opens and then dash home and install. Oh and I'll have stocked up on own brand redbull and snacks and probably beat my record for hours awake without sleep (39 currently).

Of course by the time it comes out anything could have happened, like me finding another awesome game to obsess over, or just getting totally bored of the wait and not be insterested in Elder Scrolls anymore. I have a fairly short attentionspan nowadays, so I tend to wander off and enjoy other things when something bores me, and right now the TESV hype-fail has bored me enough to not want to play anymore.

I'm going to preorder it as soon as possible, most likely the CE if there is one. And I am sure Game Stop will have midnight releases of it so I will get it the second that it comes out. I will go home and i will play.......... I will not go to class, I will not go to work. I will ignore all responsibility and just play. I will probably buy the ps3/360 version and the pc version like I did with Morrowind(xbox) and Oblivion(360 and ps3). So I will be ready for mods when they come out, I will probably install TESV on my pc then play a console version until I can download mods that I like.

I'll be doing nothing, basically, but milling around the forum seeing what people think of it. I learned my lesson on never preordering/first-day-buying anything ever again.

The only time I will fully love the 360 version over the PC version is immediately when it comes out. Ah, no installs.

On topic: Take a guess. I'd say playing it.

Probably not even realize it's been released and spend all day playing some other game. Like dead space 2 or bulletstorm.
