The only time I'm gonna scale the Throat of the World (I assume that's what you're talking about) is to get to High Hrothgar for the MQ. That, and to jump off.

But seriously... yey i can go on the top of that mountain... but unless the draw distances is epicly awesome ... i don't see the point... and the lasting appeal if i afto climb the mountain, make love to the mountain, hug the mountain and so long and so forth.

An interesting thing I've noticed about the Throat of the World.
Unless I'm mistaken, there appears to be a building about 2 thirds of the way up it.
This leads me to wonder if

a ) The Greybeards are not actually based at the very top of the mountain as I'd assumed, and
b ) if that means it's not actually possible to reach the mountain's summit.

Well, if that mountain is climbable and their are jobs in Skyrim - maybe we could make ourselves a parachute or hang glider.. now, wouldn't that be cool! Take the fight to the dragons IN the air..

Hopefully some enterprising modder will provide one.
