hello, please help...

have been a big fan of all fallout games but new vegas has to take the crown for the worst launch of any game i can remember for a long time, have been playing the game now for 52hrs, have not seen my wife in 3 days... i have managed to over look the minor glitches, huge slow down, screen tearing and the odd crash once every 2hrs or so but this now takes the pi*&.

like i said, been playing for 52 hrs now and the game will not load any of my saved games, i have 17 saved games and none past save 7 will load, every time i try to load a saved game i get quit to desktop and i have to crtl+alt+del to get out of it.

this game is a huge dissapointment to me, the game itself is fantastic but the stabality issues, random crashes and saved games not loading is just too much for a consumer to have to live with, i have tryed taking this game back to my local store where i purchased it from but they tell me because the disk is not at fault and the game runs and also because i have registered the game with steam i can not get a refund, i have phoned the customer support line on the game manol but the tech help guy tells me the problem is with my pc not the game.

so now i have a game half way compleat, over 50hrs invested in a 4 day period which will not play and im too angry and annoyed to start over.

i doubt this will mean anything to Bethesda but i will never buy another of their products.

This has happend to me and many others. Still no patch or even any word of a fix. I just started over but 52 hours is too many to just throw away.

not much no, i booked 4 days off work to play this game and have been locked up in my games room since friday only comming out for food, sleep and the occational toilet break.

Same problem here, I've had a thread up for almost a week now with the same problem, although I know where my saves got corrupted. It's a damn shame that this game was even released with bugs like this in the code. I lost of a ton of respect for Bethesda, and I've been buying their products for years.

Very sorry to hear about that issue dude, sounds really terrifying to me, as I've just started. So far I've only had the "occasional" crash (three times in two hours).
So you've played 52 hours and are only halfway? How do you know that you're halfway anyway? Just curious because I've spent 69 hours in Fallout 3 including all the add-ons, and I explored almost every location and did pretty much every quest (following constant "very evil" karma )

Best of luck, and I can really only hope this won't happen to me. Wouldn't have thought I'd ever say this, but FNV does indeed take the cake for most unstable game upon release ever, kicking GTA4 off its throne.

i dont know for sure im half way dude, but i have not entered the strip yet and have just finished the 3 bounty mission at camp mecrewen (bad spelling), i have been taking my time with the game so spent much time exploring and site seeing.

I am in the same boat, I have been playing for 23+ hours on steam and I most of my saves have been manually. I have yet to enter the Strip and I have over 26,000 caps. I am exploring and killing and selling my inventory. I started to have problems once I entered Vault 3. I was killed inside Vault 3 and the game attempted to load the last saved game and the game crashed and I had to use CTRL +ALT+DEL to get out of the game. I had to go back to an hour prior and load the area of Black Mountain. Once I again I now complete Vault 3 saving along the way and continue to do several missions at NPR base at the airport near Vegas. I purchase a sniper rifle from the bot at the Gun Runners base and go to the Quarry to kill the death claws. Well I get killed when three death claws rush me and again the game will not load. I am back to Black Mountain and I will not play the game until it patched.

dude, vault 3 was the EXACT spot where the game courupted my saves, with a few hours of expetimenting i managed to narrow down the exact spot where the game courupts, for me the game bugs out at moto runner in vault 3, there are 2 ways to handel moto runner if you playing a good guy, you can open the door and start shooting right away or you can talk to him first, i know for a fact that if you run in and start shooting the game will courupt my save files but if i talk to him first some times it dose courupt sometimes it dosnt but to be safe i just reloaded my game to the closest point i had to valut 3 and just bypassed it, i am at 66hrs game time now and since boycotting vault 3 ive had no problems... 66hrs game time and still not entered strip yet.

It seems i have this bug too in vault 3 when motor runner kills me all save games made inside vault 3 are corrupted. When i encounter motor runner and die the game crashs. I never expect him to be as powerful as a mother deathclaw. i have exams and assignments atm so i ll restart the game and do manual saves every 30 minutes. after nov 1 and report back. it seems i am not the only one with vault 3 corruption. Come fly be me quest did gnot ive me any bugs or problems but this vault did. Werid.
