Hub Update Jan 13, 2011 thread #2

Post » Sat Jan 01, 2011 5:57 am

Am I the only one not expecting anything really good (ganeplay videos, etc.) until E3?

No, but people were hoping for actual Skyrim information, instead of Todd Howard information and already known lore. ;)

PAX East seems more likely for a gameplay video.

But don't worry, there will be gameplay details, I am sure of it. Bethesda is just hyping us for the big boom!

Thank you for having hope. Every one else here are a bunch of downers....

Okay, in video 2 there is some pretty significant concept art in my opinion.

Those cities are exactly what I was dreaming for for Skyrim and Elder Scrolls in general.

While the GI article had a small town, some vague paintings, and one Nordic looking ruin that looked really awesome, we didn't get any glimpse at the cities.

That concept shows how massive and unique they are, and I am extremely excited to see what the other cities will look like.

Yeah ! One guy said he could spot dwemer names on the map, guess he was right, kudos. :D I'm at that part. "Dwarven cities carved into the mountains, people have moved in". Concept art on the wall...

Nice. :D

A few shots of previously unseen concept art in the second video, which again look fantastic.

I hope screen captures are okay with the moderators?

There are a few worthwhile things that can be pulled out of the video.

Dwemer ruins are in, an entire Dwemer city carved into the mountainside.

Also the mention of the Dwemer disappearance opens up new theories about the game...

The Dwemer disappeared when a ritual was performed by Kagrenak on Red Mountain, at the time the highest mountain in Nirn.
Maybe it was him that banished Alduin from the world the first time, but in the process his entire race was banished as well.

Since the Ministry of Truth crashed Vvardenfell was destroyed, so the highest point left is High Hrothgar, setting the new banishing/or complete destruction of Alduin in Skyrim.

Any thoughts on this?
