Well, seeing as the races are the exact same as Oblivion and Morrowind's 10 races, I really don't see them revealing anything concerning them.

Unless they want to go really in depth with the Nords and their religion.

I can come up with a myriad of explanations for why you are in prison, saying you committed a crime is terribly vague, and doesn't say if you intended to.

You can have committed a crime and still be good. There can be situations where committing a crime is the right thing to do, situations where you don't know you just committed a crime and just become arrested. There are as many explanations as there a crimes that you can have committed.

And yet, you're still a criminal, and still have your backstory partially defined by the game. If you want to roleplay as a criminal, be my guest, but many people don't.

They're going to be the same races, yes, but I'm hoping they're more diverse and not so cookie-cutter in relation to one-another.
I want Argonians who look like Argonians (What happened to you Argonians??). Dunmer to look like ... Dunmer, not prissy little school girl sounding fairy elves.
