Hub update, thread 4

I like this update - more clues about the civil war and what happened during the 200 years since Oblivion.

We start as a prisoner again, I guess.

And by the way no one here should be complaining, atleast we are getting information as opposed to last month.

That's it? What a complete and total rip-off.

We even knew that we would be starting as a prisoner. That was confirmed in the GI article.

'Later this month, we'll be digging in to reveal more about the in-game mechanics, combat, and technical features that make Skyrim shine. But today we dedicate the following feature to the role-playing and story lovers. ' - for the people complaining.

I think you guys were expecting way too much!

I didn't have very high expectations considering the game is still 10 months away. It's a cool update IMO.

Did you even read the article? There's more then that. And how is it a rip-off? They never promised us anything.

You are setting the bar high, not GI. I think this is a great update and I love reading up about lore. The magazine isn't even available to everyone yet. You'll find that screens won't be released for a few weeks in order to keep with GI's subscriber and subsequently, average reader exclusivity.

I'll say it GI guys, I actually ENJOYED the article you posted.
I APPRECIATE what you've done, it was an interesting little read, that told us a little bit about the story.

I think the reason people are disappointed is because they built up a hype that this would be a gloriously large update, which, durr, it obviously never was going to be.

Lol at starting as a prisoner again, it wouldn't be the same without it :P

edit: At least some people agree with me :)

I totally expected this. I could have predicted it and then been right. But I didn't.

A little underwhelming but that's what I expected. I knew they would do something interactive, probably with the wall, for one of them.

Next I am expecting screenshots or something. They said that the next one is done so it's probably an article on something if not screens. I guess we'll see.

Really hoping for a gameplay video, but I doubt it.

I'd like to point out that the Game Informer article already told us we'd be a prisoner again. I'll find the quote in a minute.

Game Informer article, Page 46:
Sadly, that storied line of mortals is all but extinct. But there is one - a lowly prisoner unaware of his destiny.

As the game starts, the High King of Skyrim has been murdered.

Sound familiar?
