No HUD?

If we're making a list of games that have no HUD and pull it off well, Dead Space has to be on there. They also added the effect of limping as you got more injured, adding to that bit of realism.

Far as health regeneration goes, I liked they way they handled it in Ninja Gaiden 2. You would regenerate health up to a point, but would take overall damage that would stay on as you got hit and could only be fixed by a potion or other healing source.

Man, your health was displayed on your back in Dead Space, that was straight goofy.

The cover says that having no HUD is merely an option. Of course there's going to be a HUD.

What do you mean we must not spar? Blurred vision and blacking out is one thing, but blood in eyes? What kinda sparring do you do?

Not blood falling into your eyes, but accelerated heart-rate leading to more blood actually IN the eyes.

I hate HUD. I prefer to EXPERIENCE by hearing or seeing when something happens.
I want to SEE or HEAR that I am hurt or tired.

I think the screenshots without the HUD are just for display purposes and the HUD will be seen soon.
