There are a nice variety of guns and attachments, lots of character skills and talents, and a decent amount of character customization. The parkour is lots of fun. Vaulting around and sliding next to people and shotgunning their knees off can be a blast. Doing this with friends makes the game a complete riot. Overall, it's a pretty solid shooter.
However...the AI can be downright too stupid or too 'cheap'. In the challenges, the computer AI are relentless while your teams AI is a complete joke. Medics will rush to you disregarding all enemies and get killed 90% of the time making you have to respawn and waste 10 seconds hoping for a syringe. The computer's engineers disarmed my bomb on the first objective of the objective-based challenge so many times I lost count. My whole team was dead and I was fighting off 5 guys solo. All of which tossed grenades in my face at point blank range and bum-rushed me swinging elbows like a drunken psychopath. I did finish all challenges but to say they weren't fun is an understatement. Thankfully you only have to complete them once. The AI for the actual game, though, is quite good. In fact, sometimes my teammates AI was TOO good, doing objectives and gunning down baddies before I could even open my wheel. Meanwhile, the computer for the actual game is kind of dumb. Standing around in the open, climbing on ledges and just hanging out, rushing you and trying to melee, etc. etc.
Some guns svck. Plain and simple. It feels like some guns were tossed in to add variety but not fine-tuned. They don't 'feel' correct when shooting and running. It's hard to describe. And grenades are about useless. They are very weak and waste an action point which are better used for your special abilities like handing out ammo or healing syringes.
Another thing I found disappointing was the lack of customization for the characters. I was expecting a lot more. There are roughly 10 archetypes, 20 jackets, 20 pants, 10 tattoos, and 10 helmets. Plus a few other things tossed in here and there. Granted, that's a lot of stuff for an FPS where you never see your guy really, but from all of the videos, it seemed like there was going to be a lot more.
In conclusion, it's not all doom and gloom. I highly enjoy the game and plan on getting my 50 bucks worth and then some. The graphics for the PC are actually pretty good. I have a pretty solid rig and run at 60 frames with no hiccups. Some of the textures are muddy but it's still very good looking. If you're on the fence about it, I'd say pick it up if you really like FPS but you may want to avoid it if you're just looking for something to do and aren't a huge fan of the genre.
