hunt down reference to question marks

Hey, I have a question mark. I put on the question mark remover mod and everything seems to look fine. But it still bugs me that something is amiss... how do I find out the reference to this?

Heh, yeah the explanation marks. My bad. I figured out the problem, it was a conflict. But for future issues, how can I look up the object (.nif file?) reference and/or what mod it's from?

If it is on a person, like a weapon, kill them and find the name of the object. From there you can probably figure it out. If it's a static object, I have no idea

This is what I do:

To identifying the mod that the missing texture belongs to:

1.) Position yourself right in front of the red exclamation point
2.) Open the console (~)
3.) Use your mouse pointer to click on the object with the red exclamation point
4.) Write down the first two digits (letter and/or number) in the displayed string.
5.) Load FOMM and look at the characters in the right hand column.
6.) The problem mod is the one with the matching digits.
