why you gotta do me that way todd?
lol, no, its really g4 and ign's fault for making this week seem bigger than it was. which was just a few screens and recap. big build up, hold your breath, sounds like something new....and exhale, same [censored] different day.
so bye bye forum people, wasting time. im going dark till e3.
may lurk around for speculation, but as for news, i no longer care, unless anyone finds out about special edition pre-order junk. when that info is released please message me and let me know.

...You spelled "truly" wrong.

But really, don't blame Todd Howard. It's not his fault that idiots like Geoff Keighley don't watch other interviews or read other articles to make sure they don't repeat the same questions over and over.

Well...it was big for them. Until now, Game Informer had the exclusive. Now they dont.

People really should learn how the media works before they start getting hyped.

Technically at the end of the day their all barred by Zenimax and bethesda on what info they can release and when.

Untill then all sites try to get this info out somehow while trying to snag away hits from other sites.

This isn't just an unique case with Skyrim either. What made you guys think otherwise?

The giveaway was when I asked if these guys said they had footage exclusive only to themselves.

overhyped? maybe from our perspective, but the media sure had a lot to look forward to.

they're fans like us, so imagine if you had an invite to see an exclusive, never-before-seen, 45 minute gameplay demo from todd howard himself. id hype this week up too

Why did Beth have to make such a big deal about say "EXCLUSIVE" and putting it on their web when all it confirmed was, "You can't be dragons"

First off, who with the right mind would ask such a question... This reminds me of all those bad interviewers at E3 for Fallout New Vegas... :obliviongate:

Oh how special they must feel to be able to rehash info.

They are there to advertise and get people interested, it's their job. Not to feel great that other companies don't have the exclusive anymore.

i would think bethesda tells all these outlets what its going to talk about. the fact that we heard about the same things repeatedly was probably by design. makes for dissapointing interviews. were gonna hit a lull now but soon.......e3

End of the day it's largely on individual people(And the content hosts themselves but only slightly.) for overhyping small things to unimaginable proportions.

Not that this is the first nor last time.

Then you weren't looking hard enough. They talked about how the AI works in a couple and how it was a big improvement over Oblivion such as they now hunt for you in the dark when you kill their friends and what not. Then we heard about how your character actually picks flowers, meaning that it will actually pick ingredients for alchemy instead of just hearing the sound and it's in your inventory. We heard about how there is life in the waters this time as the fish were spawning upstream, jumping out of the water. We found out that draugrs use Thu'um in the game. We found out there is a chain lightning spell, a mind destruction spell, a ray of frost spell and there were more but I can't remember. There is even more but I think you get the picture.

Edit: Oh and one of the articles talked about the new stealth system as well, it sounds interesting.

I wouldn't even call it repeating questions no other interview is stupid enough to ask a question like "will there be dragons" or "will dragons breath fire". This interview really gets to me even though I didn't expect anything new.

I'd be ecstatic if they would just post 5 new screen shots every two weeks and a gameplay video every two months.

6 months = 60 more screenshots by release, and 3 videos. That's not a lot to ask for and wouldn't spoil anything.

lmao

If only actual fans of the game conducted interviews. I know not everyone is a huge TES fan like the people here... but if youre in the gaming industry, wouldnt you know something about what is likely game of the year?

How can you stand there with a mirthful grin on your face and say how "excited" you are then proceed to ask questions that have had answers since December? Do they just wanna cover the basics for those who have never even heard of TES? Do these interviewrs wait till the camera turns off to ask the questions that any real fan would inquire?

Perhaps this is just what happens when dire fans expect too much from the media. This information was probably new for many people, but for anyone who is a forum member it was slightly disappointing.

And the GameTrailers episode was utter garbage.
