Hurtz, Turning, and Porter (Automatron spoilers)

Are all scripted to die? When I first met Ada, I saw Hurtz was still alive, fighting, but it seems there was no way to save him in time.

Considering how Ada speaks of her departed comrades during the rest of the tale, it makes perfect sense that there is no way to save them.

I know, but since some appear to be alive when you get there, I thought there might be a way to save them.

I was thinking the same thing. It's like in Skyrim when you walk in Solitude and see him get executed. You see him alive and want to help, but there's literally nothing the player can do.

I tried 3 times and the muppets all die no matter how fast I tried to take the robots down ?? On the subject of those robots, I looted them BEFORE talking to Ada and she gave me the robot workbench. I just wanted to see what different components they had, and nothing out of the usual apart from robot stimpack thingos. Question and a very lazy one at that. Should I reload save prior and talk to her first so I have the bench or don't those robots have any new parts/schematics on them no matter what I do? Would've reloaded and checked myself but have had to return to real life to feed the kids ?? Didn't want to waste time when I get a chance to turn it back on lol
