Hyped about the Skyrim Economy!

so much better than fable. it's still kinda like a mini game when you think about it but, it's so much deeper.... cause instead of pressing random buttons in sequence which, results in "work", helping the economy. you make thought out decisions that affect not only the economy but, peoples lively hoods. wow bring ores to the black smith for weapons. ancient scrolls to the libarian for skill/ attribute books. funky foods to the baker for LSD laced food, uhh i mean dungeon potions. kehehehe this is satisying jusy thinking about it

I certainly hope the only "drug" in skyrim will be skooma. :twirl: :twirl: :shocking: :shocking: :drool: :drool:

what about a LSD influenced side quest where you brutally murder a crowd of people under the impression they were something else?

@Madaras

I've been re-reading every Skyrim interview I can find, but I haven't found any mention of the following three new very cool features anywhere except for this thread.

- when blacksmith completes sword making animations, sword gets added to inventory
- farmers have animation routine transporting goods to merchant where their goods get added to inventory (and septims reduced from merchant?)
- wandering trader NPCs travel between towns

Can you remember where you heard it from?

You said something about an internal source? Or was this in a print magazine?

In any case, I really appreciate you posting this because it is awesome, very exciting news IMO. If possible, I'd love to read more about it if you can remember where you heard this from.

How about turning alchemy into real life alchemy and tie it into the economy. Let's say you actually discover how to make gold, and this impacts the economy by rendering coins worthless as a currency.
I've always thought that that would be something feasible in TES lore. I mean, how hard would it be for a very highly skilled mage to change the propeties of stone and rocks into gold or silver or daedric? It would depend on the mage's skill in alteration, I'd assume.

But yes, I'm hyped about the dynamic economy the game is offering. I wish TESIII had been like that.
