Soultear is pretty devastating.
Soultear is pretty devastating.
i would be inclined to agree and pick the LDB, despite my bias however, exceptionally powerful tongues aren't infallible, and have been defeated before
then you have to look at how the LDB compares to previous tonuges i.e Wulfarth
I'm not even accounting for shouts. My dude is damned near completely immune to magic. He has restoration maxed, one hander, heavy armor. I basically run around with greater ward up and just snore at mages. Well. anything, really.
Nerevarine wouldn't stand an ice cicle's chance in hell against Ulfgar the Hrothgarson.
He's likely lorewise the most powerful tongue that ever lived.
None of those fit, though.
Jagar Tharn was defeated by the Eternal Champion and Uriel VII was not present until AFTER.
Vivec was not present when Dagoth Ur was defeated and it was the Nerevarine that defeated Dagoth Ur.
Again, the CoC defeats Mankar Camoran. Martin Septim isn't present. Mankar Camoran isn't present when Martin sacrifices himself.
None of those are comparable to the -Rebel, Witness, King - events in Skyrim.
I think Pelinal takes the cake as most op, but I assume you meant just playable.
that may not be everyones LDB, and therefore cannot be canon, if this is lorewise. Gameplay wise there a helluva lot of exploits to exploit in skyim!
be interesting to know HOW much more powerful, wish there was more info on this in game..
My point is that Beth made the LDB character have way more overpowered choices than they gave the Nerevarine.
Well, when you potentially have a lightsaber for an arm, I don't think many people will be arguing the notion.
whether they did that to reflect the LDB's power is arguable
Hahahah become ethereal is one of the most overpowered shouts in the game; especially if you meditate on it.
How so?
Slaying/defeating several gods > Slaying one demi-god
I'd say Nerevarine wins out on achievements/choices. I mean, he/she even managed to beat Hircine and also possibly killed Vivec, who has CHIM.
But then, the LDB is the second most powerful tongue, only behind Talos, and the Thu'um is quite omnipotent though the same cannot be said for the one using it.
Tiber Septim the man, was not amongst the most powerful tongues. No dragons/very little to absorb and only a few years of Greybeard training under his belt. He relied on Wulfharth's much more powerful thu'um in his conquest of Tamriel.
The Nerevarine would win. The Nerevarine had defeated 2 mer-gods (Dagoth Ur, Almalexia), as well as an Aspect of Hircine. Even Vivec was scared of the Nerevarine, when Vivec has the audacity to flat out spit in the face of the Daedric Prince, Azura. The Nerevarine is presumably even more powerful now, 200+ years after the events of TES III: Morrowind. Both the Nerevarine and CoC had access to Silence spells as well, which would cripple the Dovahkiin.
The Agent was killed by the Numidium. One of the possible endings to TES II: Daggerfall was that the Agent used the Totem of Tiber Septim for his own means, and Numidium stepped on him and killed him. Because of the Dragon Break, all possible Daggerfall endings happened. Therefore, the Agent is dead. Numidium could be beaten though, Zurin Arctus' body as a Lich (the Underking) blew Numidium apart in an attempt to reclaim his soul from the Mantella.
Talos doesn't really count. He's a god and comparing him to a mortal..
I never said the Agent wasn't dead. Him being dead doesn't matter, as he was the only one who could and did put the Numidium into play.
the silence spell argument counts for next to nothing, we don't know if the nerevarine was a magic wielder for starters
also, if he/she was, then as previously stated, the dovahkiin could just use slowtime/ice form or whatever to pretty much insta-win, which ultimately comes down to who hits first, thus giving both an equal chance of winning-bringing us back to square 1
I already know there were Dragons in Tiber's time. He gave the remaining dragons amnesty.
When it comes to something like this, we have to consider their skill sets. IF they all have all the skills from their respective games, everyone is pretty matched up, especially if they know what the other is going to do.
I honestly think My Nevarine and My Dragonborn would both attack each other using Shouts, but We do not know what the Tsaescii Kia'i (spelling?) actually is. I do have trouble seeing the three Characters that have become My Headcanon actually killing each other.
