Ice Hockey in Skyrim : V - Skyrim

Seeing as Skyrims a fantasy world I can't imagine they'd play hockey. Yes they most likely have some sort of sport resembling hockey as any species needs a form of entertainment, especially those resembling real life humans.

So ice hockey, no. Maybe a show of the general population playing some sport, sure.

Maybe some axe throwing or marksman contests as well. Definitely not hockey, tho.

Bah why not, would not fit really with the game mood but would be a funny and distracting addition. We could have team Skyrim be like Team Canada and Team Cyrodiil be USA haha

I think feats of strength type games from the Scottish games, like the Caber Toss, Stone Put and Hammer Throw would be interesting additions. Also, some lumberjack games like tree felling and axe throwing

The Oblivion crisis didn't stop business in the Arena in Cyrodiil. The citizens of Tamriel seems to have a remarkable ability to distance themselves from ongoing turmoil and keep up business as usual.

i have an idea!!1 we shuld be able to get better hockey stix like armor like elven hockey stick daedric hockey stick etc...and omg1 we can have a hockey stick guild like the arena and bet on hockey matches!!1

And dwemer, steam-powered zambonis. That explains the "return of the Dwemer" in Skyrim, I suppose.

and along with having children, wives and toilets you could manage a team! Trade players with the Bruma Bulldogs, get a team silt strider to go on away games! enchant a hockey stick with 'enhance speed' and 'drain svckiness'

Hockey is the best sport in the world. I'd love to see a hockey minigame or some sort of hockey easter egg...

Maybe not hockey. Although there could be room for other competitions... archery? Axe throwing? Card games? Red Dead Redemption managed these kind of extra activities really well. It could be a good way to earn a little extra cash and break up the gameplay.

well Skyrim sounds alot like Canada so the national sport of Canada should be in the game... Lacrosse!

Oooh there could also be a hockey guild.

You could get thrown out of the guild for having enchanted skates..

We did have ice-skates in the viking age, leather shoes with moose bone attached under it. Though obviously they didnt function as modern skates. They had to use a stick/pole to push themself forward to get speed, while they slided on the skates.

The vikings also had a type of sport on ice.
