Iconic Monsters

Post » Sat Sep 24, 2011 9:40 am

What was always your favorite thing to fight? You know, the monster that sorta stuck in your head and when you encountered it it was awesome. Ones that give you a thrill to fight even if they aren't strong. For me, in Morrowind it was the Ogrim Titan/Winged Twilight/Steam Centurion. In Oblivion it was the Dread Zombie. I'd like to see a couple make a comeback. So, what monster/daedra would you like to see and why?

Cliffracers... Lol jk
Seriously though, I miss all the dwemer enemies from morrowind. The Sphere centurion, specifically, was a really interesting enemy IMO.

The original was actually spelled Udyrfrykte, and maybe we'll see the Udirfrykte Patron, to keep on track with them spelling it different every single game. :P

Mudcrabs. Dragons are the OP air creature, so we should also have an OP water / riparian zone creature.

Sphere Centurions and Steam Centurions have both been confirmed, I would imagine other various Dwemer enemies are returning as well, since there are Dwemer Ruins in the game, which is freaking awesome.

You know what I want to see most though? Morrowind style Daedroths and Dremoras.

I miss the Guar more than any creature, now that I think about it. They'd make a good companion in skyrim, since they were used as pack animals in morrowind.

I cannot think of any Oblivion monster that ever really marked me. They all came down to hack-hack-slash-slash-block-lightning bolt! fights.

I had a fondness for the zombies and the liches, though.

And for those with a PC, OOO's Guardians of Oblivion and Sylvan Rangers were compelling adversaries.

Just point me at some undead. Lich hunting is not a job for the average citizen.
