Idea for DLC from Operation Anchorage

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 2:22 am

For everyone who played Fallout 3, I am certain most played Operation Anchorage. Something I would love to see in a DLC would be to find a way to "relive" the memories of a Vault Tec "person" and see Vault-Tec Pre-War.

What's everyone's take on that?

Would be nearly like a simulation but you actually get to be inside to see Vault Tec before the world went to [censored] in a handbasket real fast.

That would be nice. I like taking a trip back in Fallout's past.

I loved getting to see what the Fallout world looked like "before" it all went to crap. The Pre-War part in Fallout 4 has made this my favorite game so far

Then DLC would just turn into extra side-quests. I would rather have DLC that expanded on the main-story and your character like Broken Steel and the Courier DLC.

Well they are most likely going to expand later on (I hope) and if we all know Bethesda, we could get 3-5 DLC, hoping for more honestly. But this would be more of a way to see more Pre-War but more along the lines of seeing from Vault-Tecs perspectives. Heck I would settle for DLC that included seeing more of the Pre-War. That was my favorite part so far. Getting to see how it looked BEFORE it was destroyed.

I'd like an expanded Memory Den. Not as a full-fledged DLC but as a series of side quests within a larger, perhaps in-map DLC (like Dawnguard).

Story-extending DLC will likely be saved for last.

Your character was a soldier, perhaps something to do with the memory den would be quite fun.

Yeah, I agree on that, but either way using the Memory Den as part of a DLC wouldnt be a bad idea and hope they put more Pre-War into at least one DLC

I was just thinking of this. The memory den was so under utilized in the story. One main quest and two side quests (Curie/Silver Shroud) and you never have to really set foot in the place again.

Hopefully they utilize it more, because like I said, like the simulation from Operation Anchorage, they could send us "back" to view more Pre-War even if not from Vault Tec's POV, but I would love to see their take on it. I mean everyone considers the Institute to be the "bogeymen" of the Commonwealth as per loading screen notes and yet once you join them, you find out they are not so bad. Wonder if they could do the same thing only with Vault Tec. Show us what was going on in their minds etc.

No, no more Anchorage. That DLC lagged so much, it was frankly unplayable for PS3. And when I later played it on PC it still wasn't the best DLC. Playing virtual reality INSIDE a game is nonsense.

the DLC was making fun of CoD-like games (that is why the story seems so....odd, to say teh least), that alone made it awesome IMO.

I thought the whole thing of General Chase needlessly changing and adding things to the simulation was quite amusing.
