"Idea" for new DLC.

Post » Mon Apr 22, 2013 5:37 am

Since I have pretty much done everything I could do in Skyrim on multiple characters with really strange builds and achived everything I'm at point where I got nothing else to do.
So lately I have purchased Dark souls for sake of playing another action RPG game.
Which turned out to be great- but with some serious lack of lore (and honestly lore means alot to me when I play RPG based games).

Anyway back to the point. There is something Dark souls has that I think would be great for TES series.
And that would be PvP. Once you're done with game "done" you can do some PvP against players ofcourse.

You got options to invade other player worlds and ofcourse kill them. Or you can even summon other players to your world to help you out with some boss encounters. I know there is TES online comming out and probably most of you don't want to see options like this added to Skyrim or future single player TES series but in my opionion this would not harm game in fact it would make it alot more fun for us PvP [censored] not to mention that I always enjoyed RPG games that had Co-op option :)!

So what ya' think?

Probably because I didn't see it anywhere since I just came to Skyrim forums after a while. So how about calming down your tities? And I also said maybe for future TES series so before you just throw that flamethrower on your back and start shooting flames all over the place maybe just maybe try to read what I said.

Possibly. I do hope they continue to support Skyrim for another year though.

Dark Souls does not lack in lore at all. Its just a very subtle and in the background thing that players, if they so wish, have to piece together bit by bit. Lore isn't spoonfed to you.

As to PvP in Skyrim? Meh. Personally I'd only be interested in small scale co-op (1-3 people joining your world to quest with).

It is okay. It is just that this has been going on since the 15th and the mod's are getting tired of it. We do not mean anything, nor are we being rude or nothing like that. It is just that every thread about a new dlc for Skytim is opening up wounds that are barely healed, and in some cases not healed at all.

The PvP was the most annoying thing in Dark Souls for me. The fact that there was no option to opt out of it was really a deal breaker. Yeah, I get it, you wanted to make your game difficult and I appreciate that, but having anyone able to randomly join my game (I don't really want people to drop in on my games unannounced) and the fact that there isn't any kind of matchmaking, and I can't quit out or save is obnoxious. Yeah, standing around for 5 minutes waiting for some jerk in the best gear in the game to one shot my newbie character sure is fun *eye roll*

Yeah maybe, as weapons or well items do tell some fair share of the lore at Dark souls but still it's not something that I enjoyed. I like to have dialogue around every now and then and not just stuff like "hey I'mma best blacksmithg in yadayada" Or well you get the idea how NPC's respond at DS.

Skyrim is built, like Morrowind and Oblivion, on an engine that is set up for single player only. There is no way to easily add multiplayer, even co-op. It will not work. It can not be added in a dlc.

There have been thousands of threads about making Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim multiplayer. There used to be an official thread to keep all the discussion in one place. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1185457-official-discussion-of-multi-playerco-op-in-skyrim/

The latest incarnation of the thread: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1366657-non-mmo-tes-multiplayerco-op-thread/

Bethesda doesn't make multiplayer games.

If requests are so huge why don't they even reconsider of making upcoming serie with option to co-op? I think it would make community happy especially guys on consoles as maybe splitscreen/online option would bring something new for them.
