Idea - Growing Raven Rock

Hello all,

I was a heavy modder in Morrowind and did some slight modding in Oblivion. Like a lot of Morrowind players I liked the nostalgia Raven Rock provided and while a couple of mods (now abandoned) expanded Raven Rock, I wanted something more in-depth and complex.

I've been messing around with Skyrim modding for a while and wanted to create a quest/sandbox mod that allows players to grow Raven Rock in a realistic and lore-friendly way.

Ideas include:

- Investigating and reopening the mines (after the quest).

- Making sustainable economic tasks such as revitalizing farms and recruiting miners.

- Joining House Redoran as a hireling (most likely the medium most quests can be done through).

- Joining the Temple as a layman (tasks would be basic such as delivering healing to Raven Rock residents).

- Convincing guilds to establish outposts in the area.

- Expanding House Redorans influence on the island.

It would be a basic, but hopefully fun and in-depth mod that helps explore Dark Elf and Morrowind lore.

I think the vanilla game actually expands the mines as time goes on - I may be wrong though.
