I don't get why they don't do a 'user' radio station that just plays tracks you put in yourself (preferably with some kind of pre-existing audio of the DJ that randomly inserts between tracks) and/or allow you to add tracks to the existing playlists, or even remove them (bye bye Johnny guitar!) If players then want to break the game's retro vibe by playing death metal or something, that's their business.

If you're playing on the PC there are plenty of 'user' stations, but on the console, I don't see why they couldn't add
the ability to dump your own music into a folder like some other console games let you do, and make your own station.

But then again, other games for the consoles aren't using some outdated buggy engine

I think it was Matthew Perry who voiced Benny and not Matthew Broderick.

OT - I run ITunes on my laptop while playing if I want music. I have a Fallout playlist with 300 songs from the late 30's to the early 60's (only a few 60's tunes and none of that psychadelic stuff) - along with some opera. Fights can be very surreal with opera (or Billie Holiday) playing in the background. Modern music breaks the mood for me.

yes, Mathew Perry from friends voiced Benny.

I also listen to Opera or Rites of Spring by Stravinsky or anything by Ligeti, although I've lately been listening to that
user made radio station called "Existence 2.0", it dark "Industrial Ambient Horror" at least that's how it refers to itself,
it kind of reminds me of the music from FO 1&2
