Idea: Magicka in Character Class to be Used Differently?

First off, magic has always been somewhat difficult for me to use in some games when a "thief" or "warrior" class was also available. I've made attempts in past Elder Scrolls games, and with Skyrim it was the same (except maybe a little easier at first).

Anyway I would like to see more practical applications of magic being used in future TES games that fit in with the other classes. I was thinking it might be a cool idea to have most illusion and alteration spells not be dependent on the use of Magicka so all class specializations can freely use them. Maybe a Telekinesis spell to steal items from afar... or to lift items from an NPC on the outside of their body, such as a keyring or satchel.

Idunno, there are hundreds of uses this can have. I just used the telekinesis/pickpocket idea to support the thief class to make a point. Bethesda already implements this idea in the form of Shouts. I wasn't a magicka user at all, but shouts were my best friend in combat. I am in no way putting down magic-using. But it is a harder play-style for some. What do some of you think?
