This is where you and any of your family and/or friends... or better yet, initiate dialog with another player the same as you would for a follower in the SP games. Then launch strategic assaults on these splinter pockets. The same as you do for any other potential enemy encounter.

well... pve with pvp danger, is the whole magic of it... I wouldn't like to play a pve without pvp in open worlds! Thats why I always join pvp servers, to enjoy pve with pvp\ers hunting me down... lol

I enjoy that.

I was a radio operator and ANGLICO forward observer in the pre-digital age (as in I used a radio, a map, and the Mark 1 eyeball to designate targets, no computers back then), my TO weapon was the M1911A1 but I carried an M-16A1 instead.

There was nothing more butt clenching than being in 3rd person view and seeing a hunters mark appear over my head.

Oh come on now. It's very easy to see why folks don't want PvP or world PvP or something of that such. Some days when I log in, I really have my heart set on picking flowers and working on that new potion...etc etc. But, everywhere I try to go, I have 1-5 bored PvPers who decided today they aren't going to let anyone pick flowers in flowerville. Sure maybe a death or two is no big deal, I'll laugh it off and go on. After a certain point it's not funny anymore. I want to work on something and someone who wants me to be their extra content for the day isn't allowing that to happen.

You may totally disagree, but I see it has no different as you sitting down for an exciting round of PvP to earn your Emperor title and I come along every 5 mins and pull the power out on your PC. It's funny to me, why can't you laugh about it ? You're providing me with extra life content.

It's why I strongly support PvPers getting all the content (zones, battleground, whatevers) and battles they want. I don't want them getting bored and deciding that the carebare PvEers have it too good and so they are going to go ruin their night. I know some PvPers who believed if they could get the PvErs to quit playing, they would cater the game more to them. That's a terrible way to go about things.

I'm sure I'll venture into the PvP zone(s) when I get bored and what to do something new. I might like it, might not. I'm sure I'll be fodder for those guys, at least at first. I'll take my lumps and hopefully get whatever I'm after while I was there. I'm confident you'll never hear me cry about having to go there and about getting killed a lot if I do. Now if they start making all (progression) roads lead through Cyrodiil, then I'll be more unhappy. I doubt that will happen, so I'm not too worried.

Soulclaw .45 1911s are banned here. You can only get them with 9mm(or 10mm I heard) which makes them pointless Your comment sounds very Vietnam according to my husband whose instructors were all VVs.

Oh geez, relax. I wasnt talking about full open world PVP. If thats what I wanted, there are games out there for that that I already play. TESO does have open world PVP, but you'll still have plenty of places to pick flowers, so thats irrelevent. You shouldnt try to turn it into a venomous debate that isnt there.

Nobodies saying you have to like PVP, or actively seek it out, but if you go to the PVP zone and die, what do you lose? People just play MMO's and want to live in a bubble, and not be affected by anyone else. This is impossible in every game Ive played yet. you will be affected, and other peoples playstyle will encroach on yours, like it or not. If you dont want this, you are in the wrong genre.

I volunteered for the Marines in 1975 when I turned 17, my step father had been a Marine in WWII and fought in the battle of Tarawa. IIRC '75 was also the year the commies finally overran Saigon.

Quite. There is no 'problem' requiring middle ground. Enter or don't enter Cyrodiil.

Hmm, I think you're reading too much into my post. I am relax. I don't see where I'm turning this into a venomous debate, but I guess I need to work on my writing style.

I was mostly trying to talk high level and not just limited to ESO per se. Imagine lots of hand motions and painting with large strokes

I imagine there will be some folks that wander into Cyrodiil and not really understand what the place is. All they may know is that there are sky shards there they need\want to collect. I can understand why those folks would be frustrated if they get killed and killed repeatedly. They are just wandering around, checking things out and have no interest in your petty wars(that's a little RP there, not being venomous). I'm not saying those folks should be allowed to free roam around, I'm saying I understand why they just want to get their shards\flowers\ham sandwiches and leave.

Fairly put. Just as I understand why a PvP player would like to go into a PvE dungeon, grab the resources and skyshards and final chest, and walk back out without being ganked and harrassed by NPC's he doesn't want to fight.

I would argue that PvPer asking to change the dungeons just as much as I'd argue the PvEer asking to change the battlegrounds.

You dont think "HEY you PVPers are ruining my game experience" can turn into a heated debate? lol Ok, well stick around once the game starts then.

I was saying that had nothing to do with my post, you made it seem like I want to come to the area where you're harvesting crafting mats and roll your face. I didnt read into your post, that's exactly what you said.

You missed the point entirely. It doesnt matter wether you got killed by another player or not. At least not anymore than someone who steals your node while you're killing the mob that was in the area. It is the same, you're impacting other peoples gameplay, no more, no less. It can not be avoided. You think if you took PVP out that these same people would not find some other reason to limit what other players can do, because its "harming their gameplay"? In my opinion, they just want to play single player games, while pretending to play an MMO.
