I am thinking not for the next 3-4 years, since it was revealed today that Bethesda is making Doom. I feel they really pulled the wool over our eyes. When they bought Fallout from Interplay they said they would be making many more games for it and not including the one "Obsidian" did, it's been 6 years since they made a Fallout game and I am banking on 2017-2018 before we'll ever see another Fallout game. What's your ideas?

Looks like Doom is not from Bethesda Game Studios, but rather ID Software instead. This will not have any effect on development of Fallout 4...which is developed by Bethesda Game Studios.

As for 2017-18 for release, don't you think that maybe that a little pessimistic? Betcha dollars to doughnuts we'll have a reveal next year, with a release of next year as well.

I do not think that Bethesda is making Doom. As far as I know they are just publishing it.

Bethesda Game Studios (The studio that makes games) Only works on two projects as far as I know TES and Fallout.

My thinking is that Fallout 4 has been in the works for the past 3+ years with it being heavily worked on after Skyrim was done. My thinking is that the game will be out 2015.

I think they will announce it out the blue this year. They don't want to announce it at E3 while all these other games are being announced. They want their own hype and shock 'n' Awe.

It may be a little pessimistic I admit, but I am just going by how long they take to make games and judging on how often they make them. Example 1994-1996 they made two ES games. Then took 6 years to make Morrowind in 2002. Then 2K helped produce Oblivion, which is what gives Oblivion it's Bethesda meets Bioshock look. Then Bethesda made by themselves Fallout 3 in 2008. Then Obsidian made Fallout:NV in 2010. And Skyrim came out in 2011, 3 years after Fallout 3. It seems they take anywhere from 3-6 years to develop a game and with that said, 3 more years still fits in their ridicuously long time frame. But if Bethesda is indeed making Doom alongside ID like they did Rage, then we might get put on the back burner for Fallout 4.
