Ideas of the Forums

Now I'm not one of those crazy people who come onto the forums saying "Bethesda if you're reading please do this!!!", as if they read here or care about what we suggest! However, it is on my mind as a wonderful feature and I thought I'd share my idea with you (although I'm certain t is very unoriginal). I then also thought that this could be a thread where we post our ideas for what we would like to see in skyrim, free in the knowledge that it will never happen :-)

So everybody knows that The Elder Scrolls is heavily lore-oriented. There has been so much work gone into the hundreds of books that litter Skyrim. I can't be the first to hope for this, but as a father of 2 and somebody who works 14 hour days, I get precious little time to play Skyrim as it is. In Assassin's Creed Black Flag, it was easy to keep up to date because I could read the history and the other bits of information on the app on my iPad while in was at work or lying in bed before sleep. Bethesda have already got a history with home-based Apps, specifically the Fallout 4 pipboy app.

Wouldn't it be great if there were an app that contained all of the books that you have collected in Skyrim? My idea was that in a player home or homestead, you could purchase oflr build a Nexus Library, basically a large chest or bookshelf in which books that you own could be placed, and they would then get uploaded to your App for you to then read offline while at work or in the train.

As I say, it isn't something I expect to be implemented. I would just love to see it so i thought I'd post it here, and take the opportunity to hear what other never-to-be ideas forumer's have for Skyrim.

Damnit that's what I get for typing on my phone. Please can a mod edit the typos in the title? It's meant it read, "Ideas of the Forums". Thanks.

Edit: thank you moderator!

Not a bad idea.

The lore is extensive... why not just hit up The Elder Scrolls Wiki on your phone though?

The point is it would be offline, automatically updating the books you have put into your nexus when you are connecred, but leaving them available on the app when you're not. I don't have internet at work. Also an app is more handy. In addition, you would only see the books you own, so there would be a reason to get all of the books and search for them, rather than being handed them to you on a website. That would add a collectible element for me to the game, especially if you could see which books you were missing within the app. I would genuinely really enjoy that. I'll never see it, but I can imagine :-)

I don't care about "apps." But I would love to have lore materials in the form of a physical book.

I might be wrong but I actually think such a thing is available and very expensive.

Edit: here you go. There are 3 books, each for a little over £20. So buying these is more expensive than the full prices game. Crazy.

Edit 2: on second viewing I'm not sure they are the in-game books after all. Just some fan-made stuff.
