Identifying Which Textures a Mesh Requires

Post » Sun Oct 13, 2013 2:50 am

What is the easiest method for identifying exactly which texture or textures a mesh directs to? Obviously this is generally not a problem if it's simple one easily recognizable texture but when a mesh directs to quite a few it can become complicated to determine exactly which textures it requires.

Is there some sort of utility for this?

You should get NifSkope, it's the best and easiest method to find which textures are attached to a mesh. I just started using it a month ago, and I can tell it's been a life-saver already :D

You can get it here: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSkope

Wow, that was incredibly helpful and made very quick work of what I needed to do. Thanks again!
