IGN's New Crysis 2 multiplayer preview! :(

Post » Thu Jan 06, 2011 9:56 pm

The guy narrating claims the controls are very unresponsive on the console version! :o...As i watched the gameplay i can see what he means, something similar to killzone 2's controls! Glad im getting this on PC as PC players wont have to worry about laggy controls with a KB/M.

Your thoughts people?

Looks like the PC version has a higher number of players online. According to crytek developer who talked to the ign guy.

Who'd have thunk it eh?

Multiplayer. Crytek UK. Enough said. I don't want to bash them or anything, I really don't, but they keep coming up with reasons for me to do so.

Of course, while precise PC player counts are still being finalized, I was able to cajole the word "more" out of Crysis 2's producer
nice, now everyone can stop biching about 6vs6 on pc.

it clearly a framerate issue prob . So play the demo for yourselves and inform us . The pre-alpha hadnt graphics like this. So it seems more optimization is needed . This or downgrade graphics

Well your guess is as good as mine, keep in mind, this is IGN and i know for a fact the 'higher' ups love to draw controversy on any scale! (GT5 Review was like blasphemy lol). Again im happy with the PC version no matter what they do with it, the controls will be gimp free!

There's the link.

I was really looking forward to this game but with the laggy controls I'm not sure whether I could take it, although I did manage to kinda get used to it Killzone 2 after a while.

They've got the visual aspect down it seems, so hopefully they can concentrate on getting this sorted before release.

Thanks for the link. I'm sure they'll get the kinks out of it for the console version. Hell still not stopping me from buying it for 360. It's nice to see what people were talking about instead of just being in the dark about it.
Mind you, I'm getting PC also (gotta have my unlimited cloak, strength and speed. How else am I going to play Predator? :D).

I actually liked Killzone 2 and its somewhat laggy controls sadly.

Of course with out this it could of been a Must Buy.

I expect that to be ironed out by the demo or release day. Bugs like that don't go unnoticed. ;)

sure but read the joystiq preview- another opinion. He dosent even mention controll here. And remember ign probably plays A LOT of COD, which is very responsive to other shooters.
