The journalist is a biased, ignorant, really devoted fan. Most of his points are false, and he never praises Skyrim for anything. If Dark Souls pwned Skyrim so much, it would be the number 1 anticipated game on IGN, but it's not, Skyrim is.

You could say the same about everyone in the skyrim general section.

Dark Souls like it's predecessor Demon Souls is a linear corridor hack-n-slash with stationary pattern repeating bosses AND it has multi-player AND it's PS3 exclusive. It's obviously NOT for most TES RPG fans.

The only thing I agree with is... well nothing.

I hate multiplayer.
I don't like having the whole game thrown at me, I like having gaps to fill in so the game doesn't really feel "complete" until all the backstory add-ons are in.
Dragons thing is an opinion.
The art style is also an opinion, Skyrim is a much bigger game, therefore the art styles won't be as wicked.

It seems to me they just like Dark Souls and want it to get more attention.

I just want to get this off my chest but I find it funny that at first it was ME3 vs Skyrim, then Witcher 2, and now this game I only heard of because I have the GI issue of the game in mention

In wins with the collector's edition for sure. Things like "making of" DVDs didn't used to be exclusive to exorbitantly priced editions.

I totally disagree on the multiplayer game part though. There are other MMORPGs I could play if I wanted. No thanks on bringing annoyances like obsessive class balance into the game due to mutiplayer.
