Illogicalness of Behemoths (If you havent beaten Main Quest : Fallout Series Discussion

So, in 1 of the main quest quests... (ONLY OPEN SPOILER SHEET IF YOU HAVE BEEN MAIN MQ!!!

in Vault 82 you should realize that super mutants spawn from Vault 82 with this weird goo (I learned from listening to a conversation)
so they dip people in the goo and WALLAH! Super Mutant... But Behemoths
2 arguements
1. Who is that big? Im sure mutation might turn them that big but still
2. How do they get out? The entire vault would be ripped apart by their growth, or they would get cramped and die, not get out of the tiny vault door barely big enough for a deathclaw, i mean wtf?!!?

so with that, would anyone like to comment?

East Coast supermutants grow over time, so Behemoths are very old supermutants (and they started off normal-sized).

Well, they don't just get born as Super Mutants, they evolve, and mutate as they go.
Some stop mutating at a certain stage (more common). But others keep growing until they become giants.
Remember, the world has been "over" for 200 years now. They've had that much time to develop and mutate.

It has been clearly stated many times throughout FO that ghouls and super mutants have become immortal. Like others have pointed out the behemoths are likely the result of time and continued growth from FEV. They fit in with the lore of FO perfectly. FEV is weird. You can even combine different animals or multiple individuals of the same animal (i.e. centuars which originally had two heads.). In other words they can put any old bizarre creatures into FO and simply say "Hey its just what FEV does...deal with it."

Funniest part is that the Super Muties on the East Coast suffer from senility when they grow older too.

Which would explain Fawkes, as he possibly inhabited the vault from before the war.

I believe Fawkes was exposed to limited amounts of FEV, thus making his mutation last decades, and thus preserving his intelligence and "small" size.
