Illuminati in Fallout

Post » Sun Jul 17, 2011 8:24 am

Also the Enclave have been the villains for two Fallout games. Don't need them to be the major villains in the pre-war Fallout world too.

This has nothing to do with the Enclave coming back in a future game. I don't feel the Enclave were a global thing. I don't fell they were world wide. They were American based group.

I am not a supporter of the World Wide Bases Theory.

Oh I know. I'm just saying making them responsible for the Great War would be really over-emphasizing their importance in the Fallout world.

I see your point. I don't think the devs of any future game will tell us who started the great war. I really hope that never happens. I am just putting ideas out their for fun :foodndrink:

As what "The Enclave" said a couple of times. There is so little we do know about the Enclave before the Great War or their goals. So I am just having fun with conspiracy theories.

Maybe they're a patient bunch? They existed for millenia after all.

What were they waiting for?

Path to establishing a new (world) order:
1: Eliminate the old order
2: Establish the New order
3: Eliminate dissent and competing orders

If you plan is to establish a new world order, you don't sit around and wait (no matter how paranoid you are as someone else suggested) after you've completed phase 1. If you sit around and wait, especially for 200 years (how many countries that exist today are younger than 200 years? I think you'd be surprised) then you have to do Phase 1 all over again (eliminate old order).

If your plan was truly to establish a NWO then rather than do the whole vault experiment thing, you actually do "Project Safehouse" as advertised. You put 122-odd thousand of your best and brightest into your 122 standard vaults and build Vault 0 properly with correct safeguards. After a handful of years, tops, you all emerge from the vaults into a "new" nation where the old laws/constitution/etc are "Suspended for the duration of the crisis".

Does anyone here think the Enclave was the Illuminati, since they were a secret government that manipulated events? If not the Enclave, then which faction do you think?

Well, I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you! :D

The Illuminati are not heavy-handed like the Enclave. The Illuminati manage the others. Others do research for them, others fight their wars, others work for them, but think they are working in their interests.

Its not impossible for the Enclave to have Mason members (if the Masons exist in the Fallout universe).

Many of the founding fathers were Masons. Including, amoung others, George Washington.

Ehh...no. Not every President up till JFK was a Free-mason. Only 14, such Monroe, Jackson, Andrew Johnson, and FDR were masons. I believe Gerald Ford was the last President who was a Mason.

Many of the symbols associated with the United States have freemason origins, and its possible that the original designers of Washington DC were masons and/or influenced by Mason symbolism. But its not like theres a conspiracy or something.

I also always think its funny that now after the movie (and book) "Angels and Demons" that people think the Ilumanati are out to rule the world or something. When really they were simply a relatively un-imporant enlightment fraternity that got disbanded in 1785 by the secular Bavarian government after they had faced internal problems of their own. There wasn't a church sanctioned massacre or anything like that.

Well they could be based on any of this shadow government crap (even though the whole notion of them being a shadow government is never allueded to in any in-game material). Given that they were based somewhat on the Syndicate from X-Files (both secret powerful shadow governments with oblique plans simply called 'The Project') it's fair to say that they are based on Majestic 12.

I agree with on you on that.

Despite what some may think masons aren't evil conspirators that control the government. They are really a well-meaning group that aids their community in many ways.(ex. Shriners, Masonic homes for elderly, etc.)

Maybe they don't want to rule publicly, but rather from the shadows still. The world getting nuked is one of their experiments seeing how mankind will pull through. They're still governing from the shadows in hiding as they always have and they prefer it that way?

So they are doing what they were doing before the nuclear war after it as well? What's the point of instigating the nuclear war then?

But they weren't govening in the shadows - they weren't governing at all. They just sat, waited, and then tried to kill everyone again.

You make the Enclave sound so rational, as if they had a master plan to wait the entire time; something which I personally cannot imagine was the case.

Why I don't know, maybe i always thought that they would came in in like a fleet of vertibrids armed with people in power armor and miniguns/other heavy weapons and just start like breaking [censored].

I'm not saying it was a part of their plan - but it is what they did.

You don't establish a new world order by letting the world move on without you - which is what happened.

So we're either in the position of the Enclave being a very terrible illuminati, or they're not they illuminati.

If its taking this much work to try an make the piece fit - then its probably the wrong piece.

EA killed it by making the entire series into one giant Mothership Zeta.

Who said that they wanted to establish a NWO? All this stuff about them being a shadow government comes from the damn Bible and isn't corroborated once in-game.

But anyway, by 2242 they aren't rational people, they aren't the world's power elite; they are a group of segregated people whom have rebuild the same meritocracy based society aboard the Oil Rig (by which I mean there are low and upper class people on the Enclave, not just a whole base full of tycoons or spies or whatever). Even by 2242 they are acting out of an incorrect belief that they are actually saving the human race, Richardson speaks much more about helping humanity as a whole than he does America; as wrong as they are they are ultimately motivated by the falacy that the Project is the only way to save their country but also the entirety of the human race (just to clarify Richardson doesn't believe that Americans are the only humans, only that America is going to be the only nation to man-up and do what must be done to save the human race from the mutants, if you see what I mean).

I think you're lost... My comments are based on the theory that the Enclave and the Illuminanti are one and the same. The Illuminati supposedly seeks to establish a/the NWO. If your argument is the Enclave is not seeking to bring the NWO, then they aren't the Illuminati.

Well there we go then, kind of thought that that fact was established on like the first page  In no reality are the Enclave the Illuminati.

Experimentation on society, seeing how quick societies spring up from devastation. Or maybe for their own reason, or no reason at all, like everything else they do.
