Imagine yourself...

...in the world of Skyrim
...only you have been unable since birth to cast any type of pure magic spell.
You're an assassin or steathy treasure hunter, and you are searching for riches in some forgotten cave. Around the corner you hear three voices, none of which friendly.

You round the corner.

You ready your bow and put your dagger within reach. You shout for time to stop.
You shoot the bow at one foe. You shout and suddenly are behind the 2nd, slitting his throat.

Time resumes.

You're standing face to face with the third with an ax and shield. 2 foes, his buddies, fall to the cave floor. He looks at them, looks back at you, and runs. Just belts it for the nearest exit.

You resume your treasure hunt.

Just thought I'd share my latest day dream of what I'll be trying to do with my weapon/poison/no magic character. I realize the shouts are like magic, but I'm going to assume for the game's sake that they're more like the shouts in Diablo 2, not true magic, but abilities. Otherwise I'd be missing out on a large part of the game. I can't make myself use the more "true" magic shouts like Stormcall-the line between magic and shout really blurs for shouts of this type. I can only hope that I might be able to pull off something like the moment above-the only difference is I'd probably have to fight the last guy one on one after his two buddies fall to the floor in less than a second.

:toughninja:

What's your ideal moment that you just can't wait for in Skyrim?

I want to shoot lightning from my fingers shouting "POWAAAAAAHHHH! UNLIMITED POWAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!". I could care less if that annoys my neighbors, they're tweekers anyways.

I daydreamed for my characters alot before Oblivion's release. I fully believed that I would be able to make a demigod type character akin to what I had in Morrowind; I leveled these super powered characters with the soul purpose of slaying the Daedric Princes. My daydreams were crushed when my level 50 character with maxed skills was dying consistently by the hands their underlings, whose abilities and levels scaled to match mine. To make the insult worse, all of the oblivion gates had no Daedric Princes in them.

So by the time I did run into one of them in Shivering Isles, the game stops my character the moment I attack him, and I watch in disgust as Sheogorath kills my character in a scripted dialogue.

(I know that there were mods that fixed this, but I was on xbox and xbox 360, and I couldnt afford a gaming PC)

I will daydream again for spite's sake.

My character has trained for over a decade in all manners of the sword, arcane and minor thu'um theory. He did this under the tutelage of his Nord father who was assassinated. He soon finds out that the assassination was inspired by a daedric prince who had been offended by his father and his father's forefathers, My character now hates all Deadra with a new passion.

He scours the landscape battling them with all manner of thu'um enhaced movements, adding grace to his sword that flows swiftly from daedra head to daedra head.
He is ever keen on looking for clues to enhancing his powers to rival that of daedra princes.
